``Yunoyama Sosuikyo'' is a museum-like inn consisting of 12 villas located in `` KomonoTown'' at the foot of Mt.Gozaisho. This time, I will thoroughly explain the charms of the villa, hot springs fed directly from the source, and gourmet food such as dinner that I felt after actually staying at Yunoyama Sosuikyo!

What is Yunoyama Sosuikyo?

Yunoyama Sosuikyo is an inn located at the foot of Yunoyama Onsen in Komono-cho, KomonoTown Prefecture, surrounded by nature.
Each of the 12 separate rooms has a different interior, atmosphere, and floor plan, making it feel like a cozy museum.
You can enjoy a different taste in each villa.

In addition, all villas are equipped with open-air baths fed by natural hot spring water, and the on-site restaurant serves ``soba,'' ``eel,'' and ``open-fire cuisine'' that emphasize the power of the ingredients.
We will introduce you to Aquaignis, a complex hot spring resort facility that offers healing and food, which is close to Yunoyama Sosuikyo.

12 villas

The 12 villas are
"Soil, stone, plaster, wood, lacquer, Japanese paper, glass, iron"
The space is themed around eight materials.
Since it is not possible to introduce everything here, we will summarize the charms of the rooms that we felt after actually interviewing them!

Reception (reception)

``Yunoyama Souikyo'' stands at the foot of Yunoyama Onsen.
The reception desk, which you will visit immediately after arriving at the inn, is a quiet and calm space surrounded by stones.

12 museum-like villas

Each of the 12 villas is decorated with contemporary art, crafts, ancient art, antiques, etc. according to a different theme, making it feel like a cozy museum.

Harmony of villa space and art

Ceramist and sculptor Koichi Uchida supervises the architecture, design, and art curation of all villas, and even the lighting and the books on display are in line with the theme of the materials.
In the stone-themed villas, even the washbasins are made of stone, and each villa has a unique structure down to the smallest detail.

A relaxing space where you can hear the sound of the river

When you hear the word art, you may be hesitant, but Yunoyama Sosuikyo is a relaxing inn surrounded by nature.

The Mitaki River flows right next door, and the spacious floor plan is filled with the sound of the murmuring stream, creating a peaceful space.

All of the villas have different floor plans and interior decorations, so you can stay in a completely different room each time you stay.
Please check out the official website for the charm of each room that cannot be introduced in this article.

Personally, what I found very attractive is the quiet and calm atmosphere created by the trees and villas being illuminated with magical lights at night.

With the minimum number of lights required, you can see the stars shining in the night sky on clear days, and one of the attractions is that you can spend a relaxing night away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

hot spring

At Susuikyo, located at the foot of Yunoyama Onsen, all villas are equipped with open-air baths.

The open-air baths are also tailored to the theme of each room, allowing you to enjoy an ``open-air bath in an artistic space'' that follows the concept of each room.

The open-air bath is a natural hot spring that uses 100% natural hot spring water, so you can enjoy it luxuriously without adding water.

I was surprised to find out that each room has a different structure, and you can enjoy the thick, efficacious hot springs known as ``beauty baths.''

You can relax and feel nature with all five senses in an open space, and enjoy a luxurious feeling.

restaurant

In this article, we actually interviewed some of the restaurants on the premises.
Open fire restaurant “HINOMORI”
"Soba cut stone wall"
"Eel Fourth Generation Kikukawa"
I will introduce them in order.

HINOMORI

First, we will introduce you to HINOMORI, a restaurant that serves aged meat and dishes cooked over open fires.

This is a restaurant that serves dishes such as aged meat and local Mie seafood over an open fire over wood and charcoal.
When you enter the store and walk through the straight aisle, you will be greeted with a calming atmosphere filled with the scent of firewood and charcoal, which will fill you with anticipation.

Inside the restaurant, seats are arranged in a U-shape, and impressive lighting creates a calm atmosphere.

In the space in the middle, meat is cut from a large block of aged beef, making for an impressive sight.
Expectations for the food grow even before it is cooked.

Here, we were able to have a presentation of the ingredients before they were cooked.

Many of the dishes served are cooked over an open fire and plated right in front of your seat, so you can enjoy them with your own eyes.

The menu is a complete course of 12 dishes, including the main dish of aged meat.

The menu includes salads made with vegetables grown in Aquaignis, which is just around the corner from Yunoyama Susuikyo, and roasted seafood, all cooked slowly and carefully over an open flame.

All of the dishes served are prepared to bring out the maximum flavor of the ingredients.

This restaurant is supervised by Chef Ryuji Teshima, who has one Michelin star in Paris, France, and every dish has a special and luxurious taste.

There is no doubt that all the dishes are delicious, but the main dish is the aged meat that is cut right in front of you.

Your heart will be excited by the lean, aged meat that is slowly grilled with the bones still attached.
You can enjoy not only the taste of the food, but also the realism of the cooking process.

The aged meat, which is luxuriously cut leaving only the most delicious parts, has a strong and rich flavor.
You can also refill the meat, so you can enjoy the carefully grilled meat to your heart's content.

Not only is HINOMORI's delicious food, but also its courteous customer service.
This is a restaurant you should definitely visit when staying at Yunoyama Sosuikyo!

This restaurant is part of the chain of ``Odaruma,'' which popularized handmade soba noodles made entirely from homemade flour, and was opened by Yusuke Ishigaki, who trained at the one-Michelin-starred ``Naniwa Okina.''
We were able to actually taste soba noodles that focus on the power of Yunoyama Onsen's natural water, which brings out the aroma of domestically produced soba noodles.

They are particular about the ingredients and water used here, and when you actually take a bite of the soba, it has a rich aroma and a gentle taste.
Even those who are not staying at Yunoyama Sosuikyo and are visiting for a day can also use it, so please come and enjoy the taste of soba made with the blessings of nature, ingredients, and careful work.

This restaurant is known for its ``Ippon Eel'', which is made by grilling a whole high-quality eel.
The eel is carefully selected to be of the best size and thickness, and the skin is crispy and grilled, resulting in a fluffy, soft and luxurious texture.

Our signature eel dishes are prepared with extremely fresh eel prepared daily and grilled over high-quality charcoal.
The menu includes the signature dish ``Ippon Eel'' kabayaki, as well as ``Ippon Hitsumabushi'' and ``Umaki''.

It is a sister facility to Yunoyama Sosuikyo, and is a facility where you can enjoy not only natural hot springs fed 100% directly from the source, but also a variety of gourmet foods including attractive sweets and carefully selected breads.
A shuttle service is available from the reception of Yunoyama Sosuikyo, making it a must-visit place during your stay.

Confiture Ash

If you want to eat sweets that can only be tasted here at Aquaignis, try "Confiture Ash"

Here, you can enjoy cakes, baked goods, confitures (jams), etc. that have been comprehensively considered not only in taste but also in visual and aromatic aspects.
At the time of our interview, we had just finished lunch, but just looking at the gorgeous sweets and jams lined up inside the store made my appetite come back!

Confiture Ash is a patisserie created by famous pastry chef Hirohiro Tsujiguchi, who has won numerous awards.
Based on the concept of local production for local consumption, we offer sweets made with local ingredients from Mie Prefecture.

In this interview, we sampled Chef Tsujiguchi's masterpieces, ``Celavi'' and ``Cassis Chocolat,'' on an open terrace seat surrounded by rich natural scenery and water.
All of the sweets had great designs, and the melt-in-your-mouth texture and cream made me gulp them down.
