Mie Prefectural Museum “MieMu” is a new museum with lots to see!

In addition to having fun learning in the exhibition rooms, you can also enjoy various activities inside the museum and throughout the museum field. Please come and visit a museum unlike anything you've seen before.

In the basic exhibition room, the characteristic natural environment of Mie, represented by Osugidani, Odaigahara, Suzuka Mountains, Ise Bay, and Kumano Sea, is placed in the four corners, and the history of exchanges between people, things, and culture that have been fostered in that environment is displayed. will be displayed in the center of the exhibition room. In addition, a corner will be placed between them to comprehensively consider the relationship between humans and nature from the perspective of four lifestyles: mountains, basins, plains, and rocks. By introducing these in a large space, we comprehensively capture and express Mie's nature, history, and culture.
