The warmer months from April to June are the season for spring flowers such as nemophila, azaleas, wisteria, skunk cabbage, spring roses, peonies, and rhododendrons. There are many places to see these flowers in Mie Prefecture. We will introduce some of the most representative places.

At ShimaCity Tourist Farm, nemophila are in full bloom on the slopes. You can enjoy moss phlox in some areas.

Nabananosato Nemophila Festival (KuwanaCity)

Nabananosato holds its annual spring flower festival.
The Nemophila Festival can be enjoyed from mid-April to mid-May. It blooms beautiful flowers that look like the blue sky.

You can enjoy Nemophila flowers on the west side of Oizumi Station InabeCity. You can enjoy Nemophila flowers on the west side of Oizumi Station and the southeast corner of InabeCity. The cute blue carpet of flowers and the yellow Sangi Railway cars are the picturesque features.

Mie Prefectural Sun Arena Flower Square Nemophila (IseCity)

Azalea of Mt. Ohira Azalea (TaikiTown)

Approximately 10,000 azaleas of several types grow wild on the 6-hectare area of Mt. Ohira, and from late April to early May, the entire area is covered with azaleas. It was designated as a scenic spot by the prefecture in 1939.

Azalea of Mt.Asama (Ise-Shima Skyline) (IseCity)

In May, about 6,000 azaleas of 7 types, including ``Jingu azalea'' and ``Doudan azalea'', are in full bloom Mt.Asama Hiroen, and the colors created by nature are a sight to behold with the Ise-Shima sea in the background. will entertain you.

Azalea pilgrimage at Inatomi Shrine (SuzukaCity)

Yono Park in IgaCity is home to approximately 15,000 azaleas, one of the largest in Kansai.
Located at the southernmost tip of Suzuka Quasi-National Park, there are three representative types of azaleas that grow wild or are planted within the park: Yamatsutsuji, Mochitsutsuji, and Miyakotsutsutsuji. In addition, there are Mt. Mae Mokko and Mt. Go Mokko in the park, and the azaleas that bloom covering the entire mountain area are spectacular.

Fujimigahara has a 3.7ha hill of native azaleas and a 5.7ha forest experience area near the top. On a clear day, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Ise Bay, and there is also a 2km long promenade and observation deck where you can spend some time relaxing near the top.

Arataki Fudoson Azalea (MatsusakaCity)

Jo no Castle Azalea Festival (OwaseCity)

There are 2,600 purple azaleas growing wild in Jo-no-jo Castle (Sone Castle Ruins), located at an altitude of 180m in the southwest of Sone Town, and Shiroyama Park at the foot of the mountain, and the best time to see them is around mid-April.

Taikoji Temple, located at the eastern foot of Mt. Otonashi, is an old temple of the Shingon sect founded by Gyoki. There is a wisteria tree in the precincts that is said to be 150 years old, and its elegant appearance with pale purple flowers blooming on the wisteria trellis captivates the hearts of those who see it.

Skunk cabbage at Hase Botanical Garden (MatsusakaCity)

A botanical garden that collects plants that live in Iikochi MatsusakaCity.
You can see many seasonal flowers throughout the year, including plums, cherry blossoms, and skunk cabbages in spring, Hase lily and crape myrtle in summer, fireflies and gentians in autumn, and sazanka and bush camellias in winter. The best time to see skunk cabbage is usually around mid-April.

Peonies at InabeCity Agricultural Park (InabeCity)

Please enjoy the approximately 5,000 peonies, the largest in the Tokai area. The sight of colorful peonies blooming in red, pink, yellow, and white is a sight to behold! Large, brightly colored flowers bloom with a sweet fragrance. The gorgeous peonies are worth seeing.

Peonies at nagashima Waterfront Yasuragi Park (KuwanaCity)

nagashima Mizube Yasuragi Park is a rest facility for tourists that has been renovated from the former Kuga residence built in the Meiji period to preserve the atmosphere of the past.
There is a peony garden within the 900 square meter park, and in spring, 240 large, colorful peonies of 17 types bloom gorgeously.
nagashima River flows nearby, and there is a promenade along the river where you can enjoy a stroll.

Akatsuka Rhododendron Garden Rhododendron Festival (TsuCity)
