There are many experiences held with animals, so this time we will focus on popular events that we highly recommend.

Go for it! ! mini pig trick

The popular show held every day at Mokumoku Farm is “Let’s Go! Mini Pig Performances”
On stage, mini pigs will come out of the mini pig house and perform comical and slightly funny tricks.

The mini pigs go at their own pace, but they do their best to show off the results of their daily training, such as going down slides and making soccer shots.

Jersey cows also live on the farm, and milking experiences are held every day.

My son enjoyed milking a cow while listening intently to the explanation about how his favorite milk is made!

The milk produced by Jersey cows, which are smaller and more friendly than Holstein cows, which are common dairy cows, is characterized by its richness and deep flavor.
While milking the cows, I was able to milk the cows with the help of a very gentle and intelligent cow, even with the grip strength of a 3-year-old child.

Mokumoku's nature play

Inside the farm, there are lots of "plays" that take advantage of the rich nature!

Rice husk square

``Rice Hull Square'' is a place where rice husks (rice husks) from harvested rice are spread all over.

There are countless ways to play, such as sliding towards the chaff on the slide or making a mountain with a shovel.

It's a space where you can play freely and the soft feel of the rice husks feels good.

Stilts/jumping rope area

"Play Plaza" where you can enjoy playing on stilts, throwing rings, and jumping rope.

It's an old-fashioned game, but if you try it with your family or close friends, you'll be very excited!

It's all about playing that uses your body more than you think, and it might help you overcome your lack of exercise! ?

hammock square

A popular hidden spot at Mokumoku Farm is the Hammock Forest.

Take a relaxing nap or chat while listening to the chirping of birds and the rustling of leaves on the hammock.
Spend a relaxing moment in a hammock swaying in the sunlight filtering through the trees.

drawing on the wall

There is also a spot where you can draw with water on a blackboard board with a cute pig's face!

There are pigs of various sizes and shapes, and you can draw them over and over again each time the board dries, so time flies.

Forest xylophone・Stamp rally・Raft play

Mokumoku Farm also offers activities such as the "Mokumoku Stamp Rally," where you can collect stamps on the farm and win prizes, the "Forest Xylophone" whose sound changes depending on the wood, and the "Raft Play" held from spring to fall. A lot!

Another great point is that all of the nature activities introduced so far can be enjoyed without any additional fees other than the farm entrance fee.

Mokumoku Gourmet

When you think of Mokumoku Farm, you think of delicious food!

Meals on the farm are
"PaPa Beer Restaurant"
"BuuBuu House"
"Rural Cuisine Restaurant Mokumoku"
"mokumoku tomato cafe"
You can enjoy gourmet food that makes use of Mokumoku Farm's proud ingredients.
This time, we will introduce three stores that we were able to interview.

PaPa Beer Restaurant

At PaPa Beer Restaurant, we serve buffet-style dishes made with sausages and bread made at Mokumoku Kobo, local beer and tofu, and plenty of seasonal vegetables grown locally in Iga.

Of course the fluffy sausages and tofu are delicious, but what really shocked me during this interview was the Jersey Farm Milk.
Unlike regular milk, it has a rich taste, and the taste of the milk that is not only made using a special manufacturing method but also from the cows that we have actually come into contact with is exceptional!

``Rural Cuisine Restaurant Mokumoku'' is popular for its ``Atsushiri Tonkatsu'' where you can enjoy juicy pork from Mie Prefecture.
Mokumoku's special handmade thick-sliced tonkatsu is a masterpiece that is filled with attention to detail, not only in the meat, but also in the breadcrumbs, oil, and sauce.

It's a country restaurant that serves not only tonkatsu, but also delicious side dishes and soba noodles made with local vegetables from Iga.

mokumoku tomato cafe

This is a cafe where you can enjoy Mokumoku's special buns, franks, and Jersey milk, perfect for lunch.

My daughter was very satisfied with the burgers and frank dogs that were packed with chewy goodness.

The appeal of this cafe is its wide selection of sweets!

The pancakes and soft-serve ice cream made with fresh Sachinoka strawberries and jersey milk freshly harvested at Mokumoku are exquisite!

The sweets menu was full of desserts that made me want to order another side even if I was full from the burger.

Accommodation (OKAERi Village)

At Mokumoku Farm, you can stay overnight on the farm and spend your time interacting with animals and thinking about nature.
"OKAERi Village" is a family-friendly cottage type accommodation facility with 38 buildings.

Each cottage has its own unique characteristics, such as kids' cottages for small children and animal-themed cottages such as pigs and cows, so you can spend a relaxing time enjoying nature.

This time, we will tell you about the appeal of the lodging experience at Mokumoku, focusing on the new kids cottage that was renovated in 2022.

Relax and be surrounded by nature

We focused on "kindness," "materials," "how to spend time," and "relaxing space."

The new kids cottage is a cottage where you can enjoy the warmth of gentle wood while enjoying nature.

The room is designed to be "friendly" to small children, and the bedding is provided with futons instead of beds that may fall off. In addition, chairs, sinks, toilets, etc. are available in sizes and assistive devices to suit children.

We are particular about materials and use wood from Mie Prefecture in the rooms, and the kotatsu and furniture have rounded corners so you can spend your time with peace of mind as they won't hurt if you bump into them.

How to spend your time away from everyday life

The new kids cottage is not equipped with a TV so that you can enjoy time away from everyday life.
In order to fully enjoy the nature that surrounds the cottage, we have a wide variety of rental play goods, as well as picture books and drawing goods that allow you to relax and enjoy your time regardless of the weather.

Children who tend to live surrounded by digital home appliances such as TVs and tablets can enjoy a relaxing space away from their daily lives by exploring the village with insect cages, or concentrating on drawing or picture books. Enjoy.

At OKAERi Village, there are many ways to raise environmental awareness, such as garbage separation stations and a list of electricity consumption for each cottage!
It is impossible to introduce everything, so please come and stay and experience the ``peaceful space'' where you can spend time in Mokumoku.

OKAERi Village (Kids Cottage)

The illumination is a free area, so anyone can enjoy it.
The bright lights, which are hard to believe are handmade, decorate Iga's winter nights.

morning work

If you stay at OKAERi Village, you can experience farming and caring for animals early in the morning.

Taking care of the animals includes milking and feeding the animals at the Jersey farm, brushing the horses at the leisurely learning farm, and depending on the season, participants can experience farm work such as growing shiitake mushrooms and working in a strawberry greenhouse.

There is a capacity for each job, and you are not required to attend work that starts at 6:30 a.m.
“If you took the trouble to stay at Mokumoku Farm!”
The children happily went to work in the morning.

What I experienced that day was feeding and milking Jersey cows.

They were busy distributing grass so the cows could eat and trying their hand at milking the cows!
We were also able to see how milk is actually harvested using a milking machine, and by the time we returned to the cottage, the children looked satisfied after completing their task.

Breakfast at Papa Beer Restaurant, and bath at Noten Mokumoku no Yu!

When staying at OKAERi Village, you can enter the hot springs at the guest price (420 yen for adults, 260 yen for children).
Traveling from the cottage is easy with a shuttle car♪

Breakfast is a buffet at Papa Beer Restaurant, so you can enjoy chewy ham, bread, and vegetables to your heart's content from the morning.

Shopping

Mokumoku shop

If you want to buy souvenirs, go to Mokumoku Shop
The store is filled with Mokumoku's signature products such as sausages, bread, and milk.

The store has a wide selection of products that you can't stop looking at, and even though the interview was on a weekday, there were a lot of people coming into the store looking for the delicious products.

Lively vegetable school market

If you want to buy fresh vegetables and fruits, visit the ``Genki Yasai Juku Market.''

This is a direct-to-farm market that is popular for fresh vegetables grown in Mokumoku, as well as locally produced vegetables and fruits.
Another popular point is that you can purchase not only local agricultural products, but also carefully selected agricultural products procured by Mokumoku.
