Date: Saturday, December 23rd, 2023 to Monday, December 25th, 2023

Would you like to learn how to make authentic shimenawa under the guidance of a craftsman who is still making shimenawa today? Farmers used to make their own shimenawa ropes using straw from rice cultivation. The straw that received the blessings of heaven and earth is twisted, and the decoration is decorated with ``Daidai'' to ensure that the family lineage continues from generation to generation.Fern leaves called ``Urajiro'' are white on the underside of the leaves, symbolizing the heart that has no inside and outside. It has the meaning of wishing for a pure person. While learning about various Ise legends and the origin of shimenawa, you can make your own shimenawa and display it at your entrance as a guardian deity for the new year.
