Ryugusha Ryugusha
This shrine is located in the precincts of Futamiokitama-JinjaShirine, just off the east approach to the shrine, and is dedicated to Watatsumi no Okami, the guardian deity of the sea. The massive torii gate and vermilion-painted shrine catch the attention of visitors.
Every year, on May 15th of the lunar calendar, Gojuuse is held in conjunction with Ryugusha's annual festival to commemorate the tsunami disaster and pray for maritime safety.
