Iseko City Sangu Kaido Museum
During the frenzied Okagemari festival that took place during the Edo period, the red-light district of Furuichi, which was a place of relaxation for Ise pilgrims along with Kyoto Shimabara and Edo Yoshiwara, reached the peak of prosperity. We display materials related to the Furuichi garrison of Ise Kabuki, which flourished around Furuichi, as well as Iwaki Mankintan and other materials related to the Furuichi Sangu Kaido.
