Miyagawa Tsutsumi (prefectural designated scenic spot) Miyagawa Tsutsumi
The area, which is about 1km along the Miyagawa River, is kachiji for cherry blossoms and is loved by people, with about 1,000 Yoshino cherry trees planted there.
It is said that when visitors to the shrine cross the Miyagawa River, they enter the sacred precincts of Ise, and there were willow crossings and cherry blossom crossings in this area.
It was only in the Meiji era that it became known as a famous spot for cherry blossoms.
