掲載日:2021.04.24

Red Hill Heather Forest, located in TsuCity Mie Prefecture, is a satoyama garden where you can enjoy seasonal plants. A new wisteria garden area will open in RedHilForestofHisa from April 24, 2021! This time, I received special permission and was able to interview it before it was released, so I would like to (1) explain the highlights, and also provide detailed information such as (2) period, (3) fees, (4) lighting hours, and (5) access. Shin♪

*Light-up will not be held in 2023.

Highlights of the wisteria garden area ① You can admire 22 famous trees of 10 different species planted on a vast site!

The newly opened "Wisteria Garden" is approximately 5,000 square meters in size, and includes not only the usual pale purple wisteria, but also trees with white and pink flowers, and other famous and gigantic trees that are brightly colored when in full bloom. .

The sweet smell of wisteria flowers fills the area, and when you take a deep breath, you will notice the sounds of nature and the presence of the wind that you would normally miss.

Even among wisteria gardens, this golden-leafed wisteria is extremely rare, and its name is actually unknown.
It's such a rare species.

This is a "Golden Leaf Wisteria" grafted onto a "Nagafuji" tree.

The hanging ``long wisteria'' and the sparkling ``golden leaf wisteria'' - the combination of these two wisterias, which took a lot of time and effort to create, is truly a sight you won't see anywhere else. I can't wait for the best time to see it♪

If you talk about the charm of this "wisteria garden" from the perspective of a photographer, the key point is the "backlight". Thanks to this, you can take photos that make the wisteria appear to be sparkling and shining.

Also, the fact that the garden is surrounded by greenery makes the colors of the flowers stand out even more.
This is a recommended spot not only for those who want to enjoy the viewing, but also for those who want to enjoy taking photos!

This wisteria is also a variety called "Nagafuji".
As the name suggests, the weeping flowers are longer than other varieties, and when you look up at it from below, it looks impressive.

In fact, all 22 wisteria trees in the park came from the foothills of Mt. Fuji, 370km away.

``It is very difficult to transplant wisteria, which hates having its roots cut, and there were various difficulties in this project, but it took a full four years from the beginning of the transplant to finally bloom beautiful flowers. '' said Mr. Daidai, who guided us this time.

“We hope that you will enjoy this wisteria garden, which was created with the cooperation of many people and the best of Akatsuka Botanical Garden's knowledge and technology!”

Highlights of the wisteria garden area ② Fantastic light-up!

*Light-up will not be held in 2023.

There is much more to the wisteria garden area.

Light-up will be held from 6pm every day during the opening period! You'll be captivated by the magical scenery of the purple flower clusters illuminated by the light.

Of course the mood is ◎
There are benches scattered throughout the spacious garden, so you can spend some quiet time with your loved ones.

When you compare them, you will notice a difference in their impressions.
