Feel like an Iga ninja in the "NinjanoMori" ♪ Experience secret ninjutsu in nature!

掲載日:2018.07.20

NinjanoMori, located in the mountains at the foot of TheAkame48Falls in Nabari, is a popular spot for both children and adults, as it is a place where you can experience various types of Iga-ryu ninjutsu training. If you clear it, you will receive a ``Book of License Compliance''! We will introduce you to the details of the experience and prices.

There is a place in the mountains at the foot of TheAkame48Falls in Nabari, where you can experience training in Iga-ryu ninjutsu.
This is Akame Falls, where during the Sengoku period, Momochi Tamba, the founder of the Iga ninja, practiced daily with his disciples and produced many ninjas. You can experience the Iga-ryu Akame Ninjutsu developed by Momochi Tamba, master the secret techniques of Iga-ryu Ninjutsu, and obtain the secret book.

This time, I went as a family with 7-year-old twin girls who wanted to experience Iga-ryu ninjutsu and who were experiencing ninja for the first time!

After completing the reception, immediately choose your ninja costume.

Red, blue, pink, yellow, black... Go to a room lined with colorful ninja costumes.

Borrow 5 items: jacket, pants, obi, gauntlets, and leg ties and get dressed right away! The staff will also help you get dressed. (Children 90cm to 150cm, adults free) Jikatabi rental + 300 yen (16cm to 29cm).
Please wear a T-shirt or underwear inside.

I head to the mountain where the training ground is, excited and excited to see what kind of training awaits me.

First of all, the ninja temple "Enjuin" will appear!
Our ninja guide told us a lot about the Iga ninja, saying, ``Ninjas used to train here about 400 years ago.''

We will continue to climb the mountain.

Practice ninja poses for starters!
With his right hand as a sword and his left hand as a scabbard, he cuts the sky and says, ``Rin, soldier, battle, person, everyone, jin, retsu, zai, front.'' ) recite the nine characters.
It is said that this spell and the nine types of seals were used as a self-defense spell, an amulet, and a way to unify the mind.

First, we will train in the art of climbing.
Overcome the three walls in front of you. The tallest wall is about 2.5m! ``Ninjas quickly climbed over fences and walls and performed ninja acts,'' says the ninja guide, who jumps over them.

Let's try it! Despite the worries of adults who are excited about being able to overcome such a high wall, first clear the smallest wall!

The last wall is quite high! The wall was much higher than the child's height, but with the support of the ninja guide, we were able to cross it!

Even though the experience may seem difficult at first glance, you don't have to worry about it because the guide ninja will teach you in a fun and detailed manner.

Next, we will practice the ``invasion technique'' when crossing a rope and invading an enemy's mansion.
You step on a 15m long rope that is passed from tree to tree, and slowly move forward by following the rope. Clear while keeping your balance slowly!

In ``Invasion Techniques,'' participants also practiced walking on a ``slackline,'' a belt-like band passed from tree to tree.
Getting the balance right...it's quite difficult!

Next is Tobizaru no Jutsu, a training exercise in which you jump from tree to tree like a monkey.
``Ninjas used ropes to jump and escape from enemies,'' he said, showing us a sample. Hold the rope tightly and jump onto the rope. Then jump and land!

Next is the "Hoho Maruta Watari Training".
First, let's practice the ``nukiashi ashi shinobiashi'' technique that everyone has heard of. This is one of the ninja's unique walking methods, making it difficult to make footsteps.

Once you have mastered how to walk, you will be able to cross a log with a total length of 30 meters without making a sound. Just like walking on walls or roofs without making any noise...even if you lose your balance, don't let out a ``Shh!'' sound.

Training in ``Raccoon Hidden Technique.''
This is a practice where raccoon dogs hide themselves by climbing up trees. Try climbing a tree by hooking your fingers and feet on the turning points! How many steps can you go? ?

Next is the “Climbing Technique” training area.
Hang the rope on the tree and climb up the wall. ``Ninjas used ropes to invade the enemy's roofs.'' ``I've done this before!'' With an athletic feel, I was able to clear the game with ease!

To descend, carefully climb down the ladder on the rope.

In ``Climbing Techniques,'' you can also practice bouldering. We have to move forward using our hands and feet.

Next is the "Escape Technique" training. Experience a twist. There is a small loophole on the other side of the door, and you will experience the technique of escaping. I've seen it on TV, but this is my first time actually experiencing it!

I'll try out some interesting tricks over and over again!

``Next, we will practice using a sword,'' he said, showing off his sword. This is training in ``zagurijutsu.''

Ninja sword training involves searching for an enemy in the dark with a sword sheath and quickly striking the enemy the moment the sheath touches the enemy. Use the pod to search for enemies, and when you find them, quickly attack them!
I'm excited to have the experience of holding a sword for the first time.

Training in ``Blowgun Technique.'' It is a practice in which a poisonous needle hits a vital point in one breath.
Attach a needle to a long tube about 1 meter long and practice hitting the target in one breath. The distance to the target is about 5m! If you get the hang of it, you can hit even with a child's breath.

"Shuriken" training. It's my first time touching an iron shuriken.
“It’s surprisingly heavy,” said the children. After receiving some tips on how to hit the ball, we hit a wooden target.

Set your aim~Ei! Great hit!
"The shuriken was coated with poison, so if it hit you, the poison would spread throughout your body."

Next is the much-awaited training in ``Mizugumo no Jutsu''. ``Mizugumonojutsu'' is a training limited to the summer months from June to September.

Can you go down to the river, ride a water bear float, and cross the red-eye clear stream without getting wet while following the rope that is passed across the river?
This is quite difficult! It is said that 70% of people fall into the water. Still OK!
It's a very popular practice that's fun for both those doing it and those watching it ♪ The children worked hard too!

Once you have completed all of your ninja training, you will be presented with a ``Iga Akame-ryu Ninja License Compliance Book'' written in ninja characters.

Now you can become a member of the ninja! Of course, don't worry, you can get it even if it falls off due to water leaks.

After you finish your ninja training, it's OK to take a walk around Akame in your ninja costume! You can enjoy it like a ninja.

The children went to the Japan Salamander Center, a rare museum in Japan located at the entrance to TheAkame48Falls. Here you can see over 50 salamanders of nine different species, mainly domestic ones, including the red-eyed giant salamander.

After passing through the Japan Salamander Center, you will arrive at TheAkame48Falls. Waterfalls of various sizes extend for approximately 4km.

There are also many other famous HekokiManju, shaved ice, ice cream, souvenirs, etc. in the surrounding area! You can have a lot of fun even after the ninja experience♪

It was a day the children were very happy to learn about ninjas and had a fun experience♪
