"Kisejima Hoshoen" has been renovated! We are revealing all the attractions of the restaurant, including a Japanese banquet where you can enjoy Mie gourmet cuisine such as Matsusaka beef, spiny lobster, and abalone!

We went on a two-day, one-night mother-daughter trip to Kashikojima Hoshoen in ShimaCity, which was also used as the Speaker's National Diet Viewing Area during the 2015 G7 IseShimaSummit! We stayed in a room on the special floor "Suikei" that just opened last year, enjoyed hearty cuisine that allowed us to enjoy all the cuisine of Mie, and enjoyed the beautiful scenery, all of which made this the best mother-daughter trip we'll ever forget. In this report, we'll tell you all about the hospitality and many charms of Kashikojima Hoshoen, which values once-in-a-lifetime encounters.

What is Kashijima Hoshoen?

The name of Kashijima Hoshoen comes from the name of this precious land called ``Hojo no Hana'' where Emperor Showa visited to observe plants.

This inn, where you can enjoy scenic views, cuisine unique to Ise-Shima, and be healed to your heart's content in the natural hot springs drawn from the source of Kashijima, has many repeat customers and is still loved by many customers. I am.

At Kashijima Hoshoen, last year (April 2023), the 9th floor of the Kayo building was renovated as a special floor called ``Suikei''.

In April of this year, the 8th floor will also be reopened as the same type of room.

Prior to that, this time we stayed in a Japanese-style room with a bed on the 9th floor.

There are also pure Japanese-style rooms available.

Introduction of the room

Here we will introduce you to the details of this room, Suikei's Japanese-style room with a bed!

Meals at the dining table

This room is designed for in-room dining, and the dining space also has a low table and chairs.

There were many requests for chairs to be more comfortable than sitting in a tatami room, and this was met with the renewal.

I was really happy that the food was easy to eat and I was able to move around easily.

two wash basins

There are also two sinks, so even if you wake up at the same time on a busy morning, you can get ready together!

All basic cosmetics for women are included in the amenities, so I was very grateful that I could come without bringing anything.

There's also Mie sake in the fridge!

When I opened the refrigerator, it was full of drinks! I'm excited and wonder if I should drink something.

Mie drinks such as Iseshima Highball, Ise Kadoya Beer, and Ninja Ale are also available for an additional fee.

Flower arrangements in every room

All the rooms on the special floor Suikei are decorated with beautiful flower arrangements like this.

There are a lot of flower arrangements inside the hotel, but it's really luxurious to have real flowers displayed in your room as well.

The tea and sweets are delicious, and there is a water purifier so it's comfortable!

The tea sweets in the room are Kashijima Hoshoen's original product, ``Kuriyose'', a yokan filled with chestnuts.

There was also a water purifier, so I was able to make tea right away.

With this water purifier, you can always have delicious water.

This is so delicious! ! I decided to take the ``Kuriyose'' I ate while looking out at the sea as a souvenir♪

There are currently 4 rooms with the bed type ``Suikei'' that we stayed at this time at Kashiwajima Hoshoen, and 4 more rooms of the same type will be added on the 8th floor from April of this year.

There is also a larger special room on the 10th floor, all 7 of which have beds.

Bed-type rooms are popular among seniors and guests from overseas.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone who would like to stay at a Japanese inn rather than a hotel, but would rather sleep on a bed!

*Since the capacity is 2 people and children cannot sleep together, this is a comfortable room where only adults can stay.

A spectacular atrium Japanese garden!

Change into a yukata and walk around the facility until it's time for your meal!

The atrium Japanese-style garden that spreads out as you enter the entrance was truly wonderful.

Inside the hotel, you can enjoy the large Japanese garden that makes you feel as if you are outside.

Although the weather wasn't great when we arrived, I was able to enjoy a walk in this garden with my mom!

The waterfall flows and the sound of water soothes you.

There is also a tea room, which is also a great photo spot.

Ise shrimp, Matsusaka beef, and abalone served in your room!

When we returned to our room, it was time for dinner!

This is an in-room meal with an original menu for the special floor "Suikei".

This is a luxurious Japanese kaiseki meal where you can enjoy all of Mie's foods, including spiny lobster, Matsusaka beef, and abalone.

This is the menu.

The fun of traveling is definitely the food! There's no one who doesn't get excited when they see this menu!

First, let's toast with Sanzashi juice, which is popular as a souvenir from Kashijima Hoshoen! It's so delicious that I know you'll want to buy it as a souvenir!

Assorted pallets

The container that looks like a palette is wonderful! Japanese cuisine is an art. The dishes are colorful and lined up.

Assortment of three types of appetizers and sake appetizers

Sashimi - Assortment of four types of seafood/Ise lobster

The appetizers are from the left: boiled conger eel, tamajime of pearl scallops (chawan mushi), and soft boiled octopus.

A very hearty and delicate dish. From the beginning, everything was delicious and full of excitement!

The image on the left is Ise lobster, the image on the right is `` Isaki'' from the back right, the front right is `` Isemai'', the front left is `` Trout'', and the back left is ``Striped horse mackerel''.

*The types of fish other than spiny lobster vary depending on the day.

I couldn't miss the sashimi, but I was so happy to have the spiny lobster.

Matsusaka beef shabu-shabu

Next, the Matsusaka beef loin came out! High quality meat is very beautiful.

Make it into shabu-shabu, dip it in sesame sauce, and enjoy!

The Matsusaka beef was so tender and melt-in-your-mouth that you couldn't help but exclaim, "So soft!"

Even if you eat it with high expectations, the taste will exceed your expectations.

And even though the meat is so good, it's not greasy at all. It was refreshing.

(At the time of the interview, it was late February, but the menu changes depending on the season, such as stone-grilled Matsusaka beef.)

Salad topped with jelly

A jelly containing boiled cherry tomatoes, green needlefish, and radish.

It looked like a sweet and had a refreshing taste.

Steamed abalone bonfam

Bon femme is a French dish where the sauce is the key ingredient.

Cream sauce is poured over soft steamed abalone and vegetables and grilled.

The large abalone was full of flavor and I savored every bite!

Among the dinners you can have at a ryokan: Exquisite French I had no idea there was evenIt was.

The sauce was also delicious.

Deep-fried yellowtail wrapped in cellophane

A dish beautifully wrapped in cellophane...that's rare!

Add vegetables such as fried yellowtail and Romanesco to the mizore bean paste below!

The mizore bean paste was delicious, and although there were only a few vegetables, I wanted to eat more and more (lol)

Delicious dashi chazuke served with boiled Matsusaka beef

Iga rice Koshihikari was pressed into a beautiful straw shape and served with lots of condiments and Matsusaka beef shigureni.

We will make it into ochazuke.

The Matsusaka beef shigureni had a great flavor and turned out to be a delicious ochazuke.

We used a variety of condiments and the rice was delicious.

Dessert Mineoka tofu with brown sugar syrup

The Mineoka tofu we received at the end was Kashijima Hoshoen's homemade dessert!

It was chewy and melted in the mouth, making it perfect for eating with fruit.

It's really delicious, so you can see that it's very popular as a souvenir from Kashijima Hoshoen

Natural hot spring Asanagi no Yu/Yunagi no Yu

In the large public bath, you can relax and soothe yourself in the thick natural hot springs. Hot springs are nice♪

In addition, apart from the open-air bath that continues from inside the large bath,

There is also an open-air garden bath about 50m walk from the changing room.

eh! ? Do you walk that much? First-timers may be surprised, but the view from there is completely different from the open-air bath in the public bath, so be sure to give it a try.

The view from the garden open-air bath is even closer to the sea and is even more special!

Be sure to stretch your legs and try the garden open-air bath!
Day trips to the baths are also possible, so if you have the chance, why not just go and take a bath?

Bathing fee
Adults (12 years and older) 2,000 yen (including bathing tax)
Children (ages 4 and over) 1,000 yen
*Face towels and bath towels are available for free rental
*Bath times: 12:00-17:00 (outside of these times, the baths are for overnight guests only)

Relaxation beauty salon, bowling, and karaoke!

Kashijima Hoshoen also has a relaxation beauty salon, which my mother experienced!

Mom, your special day just got even more special! He looked happy.

Please give it a try.

Oil body 30 minutes 6,600 yen~ /Many other menus available

There was also bowling! I was so impressed that there was a bowling alley inside the inn! !

You can also rent shoes, so feel free to enjoy it♪

1 game 500 yen per person (rental shoes 200 yen)

In addition, there was karaoke, table tennis, a game center, a bar, and a late-night restaurant, so it seemed like you could have fun until late at night.

This time it was a mother-daughter trip, but there are many reasonably priced plans, so one of the attractions of Kashijima Hoshoen is that you can enjoy it with a large group, such as a reunion with family or friends!

Of course you can have breakfast in your room! Exquisite Japanese breakfast course

Kaiseki box

Soaked spinach, grated mekabu, and raw grated sleet

As for grilled dishes, we have mirin-dried yellowtail, dried kamasu, and grilled mentaiko.

The tuna sashimi was also very delicious!

Colorful Japanese breakfast

There are beautiful Japanese set meals that are perfect for breakfast, such as dashimaki eggs, green lettuce hanpen, kelp tsukudani, boiled vegetables, and salads.

I also had warm boiled tofu! The soup stock is also delicious.

We had yogurt drizzled with honey! It's sweet and delicious~♪

I felt full and happy in the morning.

summary

So, what did you think of the report on Kashijima Hoshoen?

The heartfelt and delicate dishes were truly delicious, both for dinner and breakfast, and we were able to savor every bite of happiness.

The view from the room is also wonderful, and I hope everyone can enjoy the view of Ago Bay both in the morning and in the evening.

The view from the observation lobby on the 3rd floor of the Kayo building is also amazing!

On a sunny day, it's a luxury to sit back and enjoy the view of Ago Bay.

It was a very luxurious mother-daughter trip, and it was an inn that I would love to come back to on a special day someday.

We hope you all have a special day at Kashijima Hoshoen!
