Takegawa Petting Zoo is a zoo where you can enjoy free admission. Introducing attractions and parking lots

Takegawa Petting Zoo in MatsusakaCity is a small zoo where you can interact with various animals such as donkeys, ponies, deer, goats, pigs, and rabbits, and admission is free! In this article, we will explain in detail the attractions of the park, its parking lot, and business hours.

What is Takegawa Petting Zoo?

Takegawa Petting Zoo is a small zoo located in Shinmatsugashima-cho MatsusakaCity, and opened on May 19, 2019.

This is what the zoo looks like, and you will enter the area where the animals are spending their time freely.

You may be surprised at how close you can feel to various animals such as donkeys, ponies, deer, goats, pigs, rabbits, etc.

In this article, we will introduce the charm of Takegawa Petting Zoo♪

How much does it cost?

Admission to Takegawa Petting Zoo is ``free''!

“I want people to feel the warmth of life.”

"We want children who have difficulty keeping animals at home to play with them."

With this in mind, we are offering the event free of charge so that anyone can come and have fun.

This zoo is located on the premises of Takegawa Painting, a painting company in MatsusakaCity, and was opened by the company's president, Naoki Takekawa.

This is Naoki Takekawa, the president and director of Takegawa Painting.

He loves animals, loves connecting with the community, and loves children, and values connections and interactions.

Taking advantage of the opportunity to rescue animals that had no place to go, Takegawa Petting Zoo was born in a branch of Takegawa Painting, a company that decided to create a zoo.

He was a very warm-hearted person, and I could feel his passionate love for animals.

The zoo's operating costs are supported by its main job of painting, and there is a donation box inside the zoo.

As a token of your support and gratitude, we ask that you please donate.

Since there are times when the number of staff members is small, I think cleaning is one way to support them.

There are brooms and dustpans throughout the park, so let's all help with cleaning.

I felt like I was experiencing the experience of being aFugamaru zookeeper, and I had fun♪

In addition to donating money, you can also support operating costs by purchasing support goods.

I bought a desk calendar and supported it♪

This calendar features cute illustrations of animals from the park, and just looking at it has a soothing effect!

Supporting goods are sold at the reception desk at the entrance of the park, and there is a wide variety of items such as postcards, key chains, T-shirts, and hoodies.

Support goods can also be purchased on the management support site. Click here for details

About how to enter the kindergarten

If you are entering Takegawa Petting Zoo for the first time, please fill out your name, address, phone number, etc. on a reception card at the reception desk at the entrance.

After filling out the reception card, you will receive a Takegawa Petting Zoo membership card.

This card has a very cute design with animal illustrations♪

The next time you visit, you can enter the park by writing your card number and number of adults and children on the visitor reception card.

First-time visitors can enter the park after listening to the precautions from the reception staff, but be sure to read the warning signs carefully.

Where is the parking lot/toilet?

Takegawa Petting Zoo has parking lots 1 and 2, and parking is free.

This is the first parking lot, located right in front of the entrance.

There is parking for about 3 to 4 cars, but it tends to get full, so be sure to use the second parking lot.

There is a toilet for everyone in the first parking lot, and there is a hand-washing area behind the toilet.

This is the second parking lot, which is more spacious than the first parking lot.

It's a short 3-minute walk from the second parking lot to the entrance, so please take advantage of it.

Report on the situation inside the park

For this interview, I brought my 2-year-old niece with me, and as soon as she entered the park, a baby goat approached her!

It was a short goat, so even my niece was able to make fun of it♪

In places where there are no fences, you can touch each other with zero distance like this.

When I looked into the hut in the park, I found a cute owl with round eyes!

This is "Molly-chan" who joined the group in March 2021.

You can't touch the owl directly, but you can see it from a close distance♪

There is also a rabbit hutch near the previous hut, and there are lots of rabbits nestled in it, which is so cute!

Although you cannot enter the rabbit hutch, there are some rabbits walking around the park, so be sure to look for them.

As I was looking around the park, a big donkey came over.

This donkey is Eeyore-kun, the representative animal at Takegawa Petting Zoo.

You might be surprised at first because of his big size, but his round eyes are really cute!

Since she has a spoiled personality, she sometimes gets close to you like this♪

Please be gentle when interacting with animals.

Shortly after Eeyore the donkey left, a big sheep came along.

My niece seemed a little scared and hugged her mom lol

It was my first time seeing Fugamarusheep up close, so I was very excited to see how close they were!

After walking for a while, there was a duck at my feet!

There was no sign of them escaping even when I approached them, so I think this is a must-see for bird lovers!

It appeared to be hiding its beak behind its back, which seems to be a measure against the cold.

As I went deeper into the park, I saw goats basking comfortably in the sun.

The white goat in the foreground of the photo is "Peter-kun." It is said to be the longest-living animal in the zoo.

He has a friendly personality and has come close to me many times.

There is a play area for children near the entrance, filled with picture books and toys.

There was also a pink door that could lead you anywhere, so why not take a commemorative photo with your kids?

There were many ideas and tricks all over the park that made it possible not only to interact with animals, but also to interact with children.

What did you think

We have introduced you to the many charms of Takegawa Petting Zoo.

The zoo has a calm atmosphere, so I think it's extremely comfortable.

The number and types of animals are increasing year by year, so even if you have visited before, please come and visit us again!

If you stayfor a long time, you will be able to observe the animals' various facial expressions and behaviors, which is fun.
