A festival heralding the arrival of summer in Toba
Long ago, when an epidemic broke out in this region, legend has it that households that hung cedar branches from this shrine on their gates as a prayer for protection from evil spirits escaped the disaster, and this tradition has continued ever since.
On the day of the festival, many outdoor stalls are set up and many visitors come to the shrine dressed in yukata, so it is affectionately known as the "Yukata Festival" by locals.
It is held every year on June 22nd.
