Kazahaya no Sato - Kappa no Furusato - is located 5 minutes from Hisai IC on the Ise Expressway, and 32 minutes from VISON, one of Japan's largest commercial resorts, on the Ise Expressway. It was designated as a national treasure in 2017. 25 minutes on the Nakase Bypass to IseJingu, 70 minutes on National Route 23 to visit Ise Jingu Shrine, 41 minutes on the Ise Expressway to the world heritage Kumano Kodo Oni Pass entrance, and 41 minutes IseShimaSummit It takes 75 minutes to get there on National Route 23, making it the perfect stopover or lunch break on your way to and from sightseeing in Ise-Shima.

Kazahaya no Sato is located on the banks of Kazahaya Pond, which has a circumference of 3.8 km, and is located within the Ise Onsen Golf Club on a hilly area of approximately 78,000 square meters. Kazehaya Pond is one of the 800 irrigation ponds built across the country by Emperor Suinin in October of 35 AD. During the Sengoku period, the lord of the Tsushiro domain, TakatoraTodo, named the land where he irrigated it with the name ``Kazehaya,'' hence the name ``Kazehaya Pond,'' and it remains one of the prefecture's leading water sources for rice fields.

Since 2004, users and staff of the social welfare corporation Shojukai's facilities for people with disabilities have been working together to prune, fertilize, weed, improve soil, maintain, and manage the facilities for plums, wisteria, and hydrangeas. As the first flower garden in Japan to incorporate horticultural welfare, we are working to integrate the environment and welfare.

Kazahaya no Sato's 77,700 hydrangeas of 40 varieties are spread over a vast 33,000 square meter area, including ``Koi no WAVE,'' ``TSUWAVE,'' ``Hydrangea Clock,'' ``Hydrangea flower beds by variety,'' and ``Created by Emperor Suinin and named by TakatoraTodo' These are plantings designed with designs such as "Borrowed scenery of Takazehaya Pond." From the vantage point where you can overlook half of the hydrangea area, you can enjoy a spectacular view that will make you cheer. Enjoy a different world created with hydrangeas with your lover or family.
The 45 varieties that will be in bloom include those that can only be seen at Kazahaya no Sato, such as Selma, Sharona, Serena, Sandra, Sabrina, and Sierra, as well as blue Temari, white Temari, pink Temari, Sumida no Hanabi, sky blue, marine blue, Tsukasa Blue, Chaprit, Sangaia, Red Sensation, Koijigahama, Kasurarin Pink, Uzu, Benigake, Aogake, Shirogake, Shichidanhana, Jogasaki, Junihitoe, Lemon Wave, Mikata Yae, Akishino Temari, Kurenai, Princess Hydrangea, Annabelle, Pink Annabelle, Ginga, Dance Party, Happy Friend, Dolce Chic, Son, City Line Paris, Black Diamond Red Angel, and Rin.
The best time to see them is from June 10th to 20th. At Kazahaya no Sato, the best time to see hydrangeas is called ``starting to change color'' → ``beautiful'' → ``shabby chic.''
Around the end of May, the ``frame flowers'' begin to change color, and around mid-June, the color of all varieties becomes ``bigoro.'' After the ``true flowers'' bloom, the ``frame flowers'' become ``shabby chic'' (tasteful, old, and classy). and elegance).

You can also take sunrise photos (reservation required) and sunset photos.

Take a walk and relax in the footbath amidst the sounds of wild birds such as pheasants, warblers, and white-eyes.During the flower garden's opening period, there will be a ``Kazahaya Chaya'' and ``kitchen car'' stalls, and ``bring your own bento'' on the lawn and wisteria trellis. You can spread out a sheet and eat your meal. Enjoy a different world of ``healing flower scenery'' that you cannot see in everyday life as a family of three generations.

Situated conveniently on the way to your sightseeing in Ise Shima is Kazahaya no Sato. It takes 5 minutes to reach us from the Hisai interchange and 70 minutes from The Ise Grand Shrine on Route 23.
Located also just 40 minutes from Otokido Pass, a starting point for hiking part of the World Heritage Site of Kumano Kodo, an ancient pilgrimage route from before the Edo period. It is also 75 minutes on route 23 to the Ise Shima summit Venue.

Kazahaya no Sato is the ideal spot to take a well-earned rest for lunch en-route to Ise Shima.

Kazahaya no Sato is a hilly area of about 78,000 square meters located within the Ise-Onsen Golf Club beside the Kazahaya Pond, which is 8 km in circumference. Kazahaya pond is just one of the 800 irrigation ponds that the Emperor Suinin had made for Japan in the Winter of 35 AD.
In the period of warring states the lord of Tsu castle, Lord Takatora Todo, named Kazehaya the land where irrigation work was to be completed. It has proudly been the water resource for our main rice fields in Mie prefecture ever since.

From 2004 the Social Welfare Corporation Sei jyu kai worked alongside residents and staff of care homes to help us prune, fertilize, weed, improve and remedy soil as well as maintain and operate the management of plums, wisteria and hydrangea. We are happily the first garden in Japan to incorporate gardening welfare and are continually working on blending the environment with the welfare of our close knit community.

We have 65 species of plants with 555 Plum trees including Kankoubai, Michisirube, Shirokaga, Kagoshimakoubai, Benichidori, Nikkobai, Benizuru, Bungoume, Minatokoubai, Koume, Nankoubai, and Omoinomama to name but a few.
There are 500 different species and 45 different types such as Rinshibai. These bloom within the 10,000 square meter lawn from early February to late March.

We have 10 types of Wisteria which are named Shirokapitan, Murasakikapitan, Benifuji, Kuchibenifuji, Rokusyakufuji, Kyusyakufuji, Nagasakissaifuji, Yaekokuryufuji, Kokuryufuji and Shironodafuji. These bloom on 10 different types of wisteria trees in an 10 thousand square meter area from the end of April to early May.

We have 40 kinds of Hydrangea such as Aotemari, Shirotemari, Pinktemari, Sumidanohanabi, Sky Blue, Marine Blue, Tsukasa Blue, Chaplit, San Gaia, Red Sensation, Koijigahama, Kasurarin Pink, Uz, Benigaku, Aogaku, Shirogaku, Nanadanbana, Jogasaki, Jyunihitoe, Hime Ajisai and Annabel.
Please take time to appreciate the special Hydrangea called Selma, Sharona, Serena, Sandra, Sabrina and Soraya which are blooming only in Kazahayanosato from early June to early July.

Take an enjoyable stroll through the singing pheasants and Japanese warblers. Please enjoy the other-worldliness and "healing scenery" which cannot be noticed so often in our modern lives. We wish you to enjoy the gardens and atmosphere from a time some 3 generations past .
