Mehari-sushi special feature! Introducing 4 local restaurants where you can enjoy traditional local cuisine from southern Mie Prefecture

Mehari-zushi, which has been passed down in the Kishu and Kumano regions, is a simple traditional local dish consisting of rice balls wrapped in lightly pickled mustard leaves. The name ``Mehari-zushi'' is said to come from the words, ``You eat it with your mouth open so wide that it's eye-popping,'' and ``It's so delicious that it's eye-popping.'' It is said that at the time, bento boxes were made large for woodcutter and raft masters so that they could eat them quickly between jobs, but now they are made smaller to make them easier to eat.

Mehari sushi has a simple and gentle taste. We would like to introduce four carefully selected stores that are loved by locals.

Located along National Route 42 OwaseCity, you can enjoy a variety of dishes from donburi (katsudon) to sushi rolls. It's like a Japanese-style family restaurant, where everyone from the elderly to children can feel at ease and feel free to stop by.
What you can enjoy inside this restaurant is Mehari-sushi (150 yen each), an authentic local dish that maintains the traditional taste.
In order to maintain a stable supply of mustard mustard leaves, which have recently become difficult to obtain due to a decrease in the number of farmers producing them, we purchase from contracted farmers. To avoid wasting ingredients, we chop up the mustard greens left over from the wrapping process and sprinkle them with bonito flakes as an ingredient.
`` Mehari-sushi Take-out (600 yen for 6 pieces)'' is unique to ``Sanki Chaya'' and allows you to enjoy two different flavors: white rice and vinegared rice.
Miki Sangyo's best selling item is ``Sanma Sushi'', which is made using vinegar made from underground water from Nachi Falls, and can be ordered from just one piece when eating in the restaurant. It's also great to be able to enjoy Mehari-sushi, Sanma sushi, and Owase's local cuisine all at once.
