Konyuudou-kun

A mascot character born in the year of the city's 100th anniversary, a boy monster that is widely loved by citizens.

My father is the Onyudo, a specialty of the Dai Yokkaichi Festival.
Standing on a 1.8m pedestal (dashi) with a body length of 4.5m and a neck length of 2.7m, it is 9.0m in total height, making it the largest karakuri doll in Japan.

It is said that if you touch Konyudo-kun's tongue while making a wish, your wish will come true♪

BankonoSatoCenter (YokkaichiCity)

A museum that displays and sells Banko-Yaki ware, Mie Prefecture's representative pottery.
In addition to an exhibition room and gallery that systematically introduce all aspects of Banko-Yaki, there is also a shop with affordable prices that can only be found in the production area, a multipurpose hall, and more.The workshop on the first floor also has a one-day pottery class that anyone can use by making a reservation. Traditional craft hinaga Uchiwa “Inato” (YokkaichiCity)

They have been made for about 300 years as souvenirs for worshipers at IseJingu, and many of the designs are from paintings of beautiful women and are used for decoration. It is said that it became famous throughout the country along with Kyoto uchiwa due to its quality and beauty.
Many hinaga fans have a round pattern, and 64 bones are woven alternately on the front and back sides. The main feature is that it is gentle on the hands, flexible, and easy to fan.

YokkaichiMunicipalMuseum /Yokkaichi Pollution and Environmental Future Museum (YokkaichiCity)

The basic theme is "Culture and living environment of Yokkaichi, home to Ise Bay and the Suzuka Mountains." The history of YokkaichiCity and the Hokusei region from geological times to the present day is introduced through six themes as a permanent exhibit.
The attached planetarium uses an all-sky 8K digital projector to recreate an immersive starry sky. As a general museum, we feature special exhibitions about five times a year, focusing on various fields related to this region. In 2015, the Yokkaichi Pollution and Environmental Museum was opened.
