MeiwaTown is recommended for souvenirs from Ise Shrine! Patisserie Papa, where you can find MeiwaTown 's new sweets ``Meiwa no Wa'', Saian, which is popular for its delicious and cute heart-shaped zenzai and sake manju, and Azafurusato, where you can buy special products from Mie Prefecture. Mr. Nakayasu, who plays the role of the 34th Saio, will be here to give you a detailed tour of three recommended restaurants!

MeiwaTown has many restaurants where you can eat a variety of delicious foods.
Here are some recommended spots in MeiwaTown Town where you can buy delicious food, from sweets to local products, on your way back from a visit to Ise! This time, we had Mr. Nakayasu, who plays the role of the 34th Saio, come to visit us.

First up is sweets!
Patisserie Papa, located in MeiwaTown, is a cute shop with a stylish Provence-style building that stands out.
The shop features an array of attractive sweets made with 100% butter, recommended by the owner, who learned his skills as a hotel pastry chef.

As soon as you enter the store, you will be enveloped by the sweet aroma of mellow butter, which will put a smile on your face.
Everything from seasonal cakes to classic shortcakes, baked goods, and handmade jams are made in-house. The fluffy macarons and cream puffs are also very popular with both adults and children! They all look delicious and I'm spoiled for choice!

A recommended product that is typical of MeiwaTown is "Meiwa no Wa."
Meiwa no Wa is a sweet that is a fusion of Japanese and Western styles, created with the image of the Meiwa landscape and the ``Meiwa-ness'' that makes you feel the rice fields and the earth.
The instructions for the Meiwa ring that comes with the purchase were created together with a designer friend of mine, and it has the fun idea of creating beautiful patterns when made into origami cranes! Sold for 230 yen each and 1300 yen with a box of 5 pieces.

The surface is crisp and fragrant, and the inside is soft and fluffy. The aroma of almonds spreads in your mouth.
Inside, it contains azuki beans, soybean flour, rice flour, and black flour made from ancient rice, a specialty of MeiwaTown, and the flavor of Japanese sweets blends in with the Western flavor. It has a very gentle taste that goes well with coffee or tea!

You can also relax and enjoy delicious tea at Patisserie Papa's eat-in space. It's a luxury to have a relaxing snack time after shopping.

Why not visit the cute and wonderful Patisserie Papa, where you will be greeted by the smiling faces of all the staff surrounding the gentle owner?

Next, we will introduce a Japanese sweets shop♪
Itsukuian, a sake manju shop loved by locals, is a popular Japanese sweets shop MeiwaTown. At this shop, you can not only sell souvenirs but also enjoy the sweets at your leisure.

In addition to enjoying brunch menus and sweets, they also have cute zenzai that is perfect for the cold season!
Of course, you can also eat sake manju on the spot.

The inside of the store is a relaxing and bright space where you can feel the warmth of wood, making it a great place to take a break after visiting the shrine.
Let's have some hot zenzai right away!

Itsuki-an's zenzai is a cute dish with a pink and white heart-shaped monaka on top.
It's so cute that you'll want to take a photo of it, and the taste is gentle and warming.

The monaka is sprinkled with gold powder, making it colorful and fun to look at!
This is one of the MeiwaTown sweets that you should try as a memento of your trip.

After enjoying the zenzai, please take the sake manju as a souvenir.
It costs 500 yen for 6 pieces, and we recommend eating it warmed up! It uses sake and sake lees dedicated to IseJingu, so it's perfect as a souvenir from a visit to Ise Shrine!

The last shop is for souvenirs!
Aza Furusato, located in the parking lot of SaikuHistoricalMuseum in MeiwaTown, is a souvenir shop with special products from Mie Prefecture that just reopened in July 2018. Many regional specialties are gathered here, so you can take home plenty of memories from your trip to Mie Prefecture!

This is a recommended spot for those taking a walk or those who have visited the shrine to take a break and choose Mie Prefecture's special products.
SaikuHistoricalMuseum is next door, so it's a great place to learn about the history of saikuu Ruins before visiting the store.

``Ise Japanese black tea'' made with tea leaves from Matsusaka is the store manager's most recommended product! This unusual domestic black tea has a slight sweetness without the need for sugar, and has a refreshing aftertaste, making it appealing for drinking with both Japanese and Western food.
There are three flavored teas that you can enjoy the natural scent of without using any fragrances: yuzu, ginger, and Meyer lemon. All of them are made with carefully selected ingredients produced in Mie Prefecture, and you can enjoy their gentle scent.

We also sell black rice flour, which is also used in Meihime's Junitoto Baum, a popular sweet in MeiwaTown. Black rice flour is rich in vitamins and anthocyanins and goes great with cooking!

The great thing about Aza Furusato is that you can buy special products from areas south of MatsusakaCity in MeiwaTown!
Souvenirs from remote areas of the prefecture were difficult to obtain outside of the area. Since they can be purchased throughout Meiwa town, they are a great way to get to know the area through souvenirs.

There are benches inside the store, and you can eat the juices and ice creams you buy on the spot.
Enjoy the flavors of Mie Prefecture while talking about your travels!

At Aza Furusato, an antenna shop for Mie Prefecture's specialty products, you can find many delicious products from Mie Prefecture. You might even find your favorite products that you've never seen before! ! After visiting Ise, go to MeiwaTown and enjoy some of Mie's delicious food!

You can experience the Heian period, when saikuu was at its most prosperous. The building is modeled after the ``Shinden-zukuri'' style of aristocratic residences from the Heian period, and takes advantage of the architectural techniques of the time and does not use nails in assembling the parts. Inside the museum, in addition to holding hands-on classes where you can learn about the annual events, techniques, and culture of the time, you can also try on Juni-hitoe and Naogi. You can also try out ancient games such as board sugoroku and shellfish.
