A trip to famous spots in Shima! I went to Amanoiwato and Yokoyama Observatory♪

掲載日:2016.12.12

We went to famous spots in ShimaCity that are very popular with tourists: Yokoyama Observation Deck, which offers a panoramic view of the G7 IseShimaSummit venue, Shima Kanko Hotel, and Amanoiwato (EriharaNoMizuana), which is famous as one of Japan's top 100 waters. I'm here. Both were spots where you could feel the charm unique to Ise-Shima. We also introduce the Yokoyama Visitor Center and Michi-no-eki Ise-Shima.

After a 10-minute drive from Kintetsu Ugata Station, you will arrive at the Yokoyama Visitor Center, located at the foot of the Yokoyama Observation Deck. The museum is filled with insect specimens and photographs of wild birds from Ise-Shima National Park.

Huh? What is “Mori no Fried Shrimp”? ? ? When I asked the staff at the facility, they told me, ``It's after squirrels eat the seeds between the pine cones. It's called that because it looks exactly like fried shrimp.'' The free craft experience also looks interesting.

After getting a ``Yokoyama Nature Observation Map'' for spring, summer, fall, and winter, we headed to Yokoyama Observation Deck. The distance to the observation deck is 550m with a height difference of 80m. While walking, I found a "Let's observe" card. The cry of the Japanese titlet is "peettupeetutu". I see. There was also a ``nature interaction quiz,'' and the observation deck parking lot came into view in no time.

When we arrived at the observation deck, it was full of tourists who had arrived by taxi or bus. It's a spectacular spot with a panoramic view of the Rias coastline and Ago Bay, famous for its pearl-cultured rafts, and people everywhere are exclaiming how beautiful it is. As I looked at the information board, I thought, ``Is that building the Shima Kanko Hotel?'' and thought back to the enthusiasm that existed when the summit was held.

It was a shame that the sky was cloudy, but when it cleared up, this was the view! You can clearly see the ria coastline, and the contrast between the blue sky and the green trees is so beautiful that it will take your breath away!

Let's go to the "Panorama Observation Deck" 260m away. Along the way, there is a ``Nagora no Floating Rock'' that is said to protect the safety of navigation.

The ``Panorama Observation Deck'' is nice because there aren't many people and you can have the view all to yourself.

On the way to `` Amanoiwato'', I went to `` Michi-no-eki Ise-Shima'' along National Route 167 for a break. Among the rows of seafood and souvenirs, I saw a sign for ``Pearl Salt Soft-serve Ice Cream (300 yen)'' and immediately purchased it. Rich in milk fat content, it has a smooth texture and a refreshing aftertaste. The salt is effective and it's exquisite!

As you drive towards Ise Road, you will see a stone monument that says `` Amanoiwato Exit''. If you don't look carefully, you might end up passing by. After passing through the torii gate and driving along the mountain road for a while, you will arrive at the parking lot.

On the way, we discovered "foot print ruins". What kind of footprint is it? ? ?

In about 5 minutes, we arrived at Amanoiwato. As you walk along the approach path lined with stone lanterns on both sides, you can gradually hear the sound of water.

The space is enveloped in a cool spiritual atmosphere and the sound of fresh water gushing out of the cave makes it feel like a mythical world. There is a legend that Amaterasu Omikami lived here in secret.

When you stand in front of Misogi Falls, you will feel a solemn feeling that will wash your soul.

There was also a camphor tree planted in 1930 by the world's pearl king, KokichiMikimoto.

I found a sign for ``Wind Cave →'' and walked for about 8 minutes along the undulating mountain path, wondering where it was. “There it was.” If you listen carefully in the wind hole, you will hear some noises.

When I returned to the original spot, I saw people bringing large amounts of plastic bottles with them to draw water. I heard that they come from Aichi Prefecture regularly. "It's great to drink coffee or tea with the water here," he told me.
