Taikoji Temple, located at the eastern foot of Mt. Otonashi, is an old temple of the Shingon sect founded by Gyoki. It is famous as a flower temple where flowers bloom throughout the year, such as wisteria in late April and hydrangeas in June. There is a wisteria tree in the precincts that is said to be 150 years old, and its elegant appearance with pale purple flowers blooming on the wisteria trellis captivates the hearts of those who see it.
