Breaking News Exhibition "Excavated Suzuka 2023"

The "Excavated Suzuka" series is a news exhibition that has been held every year since the museum opened in 1998.
This time, we will be showcasing the results of excavation surveys of four archaeological sites conducted in the city between January and December 2023, as well as the artifacts that were unearthed.

●Relics to introduce
Ise Kokufu Ruins (Choja Yashiki Ruins) 42nd Station
Iwakiyama Ruins 16-2, 17th
Mount Fuji No. 1 Tomb 3rd
Kayamachi Ruins 5th Station

● Slide presentation (registration on the day)
Both events will take place in the Archaeological Museum Auditorium.
1st "Iwakiyama Ruins (16-2, 17th)" (Sunday, May 19th, from 1:30pm)
2nd session: "Ise Kokufu Ruins (42nd session), Mt. Fuji No. 1 Tomb (3rd session)" (Sunday, June 2nd, from 1:30pm)

Elementary and junior high school students: 100 yen
50 yen discount for groups of 20 or more
Free for those with a disability certificate and one accompanying person, preschool children, and those aged 70 or older (please show proof at the counter)
Free admission will be available on April 20th (Saturday) and 21st (Sunday) in commemoration of Mie Prefecture Day, and on May 18th (Saturday) in commemoration of International Museum Day.
