Yokkaichi Festival Yokkaichi Matsuri
Event date: September 30, 2023 (Sat) - October 1, 2023 (Sun)
An annual festival of Suwa Shrine that has been passed down since the early Edo period.
It is a traditional autumn festival that inherits traditional culture such as a Daimyo procession with various Karakuri floats, dancing lions, and the passing of portable shrines.
On Saturday, there is a night festival with dancing lions, and on Sunday, Karakuri floats and whale boats from each area called "Neri" are dedicated to the shrine, which is a sight to behold!
