Area that can be enjoyed even on a day trip

ShimaMediterraneanVillage is divided into five areas that are modeled after the various regions that exist in the Mediterranean Sea, and as you walk through ShimaMediterraneanVillage, you will definitely feel like you have fully enjoyed the real Mediterranean Sea!

Areas that you can enjoy on a day trip include Sardinia, Castile, Andalusia, Mykonorca (some areas are limited to overnight guests), restaurants, cafes, shops, and activities.

The guest-only area is part of the Alhambra and Mikonorca zones.

First, we will explain the areas that can be enjoyed even on a day trip, as well as an overview and highlights of each area.

Sardinia zone

The area immediately after passing through the entrance gate is the Sardinia zone. The first thing that catches your eye as soon as you enter the village is the Plaza Mayor Fountain, which has been a symbol of ShimaMediterraneanVillage since its founding in 1993!

The decoration of the fountain uses a technique called Talavera, which is representative of Spain, and was created by Artesania Taraverana, a studio located in Spain.

It is beautifully crafted in every detail, so please take your time to take a look when you visit.

By the way, Sardinia is a Mediterranean island off the west side of mainland Italy, and is the second largest island in the Mediterranean after Sicily.

It is known for its colorful streets and is said to be famous as a resort destination where celebrities from all over the world gather.

The Sardinia Zone, inspired by the island of Sardinia, is so colorful with its earthen walls and rainbow-colored stairs!

The exotic atmosphere that could be found in the actual Mediterranean Sea is so wonderful!

The Sardinia Zone is full of cafes, craft workshops, and photogenic spots, so be sure to take a stroll around them!

Furthermore, the Sardinia zone is planted with the same types of plants as those on the actual Sardinia Island, such as olive trees, feijoa trees, and rosemary. The commitment is amazing!

castile zone

The actual Castile region is a historic region where you can experience the culture of central Spain during the Middle Ages.

ShimaMediterraneanVillage is said to be modeled after the landscape of the Trade La Mancha region, which is characterized by an endless plateau with dry plateaus in Castile.

In the La Mancha region, many buildings related to prayer have been built, such as monasteries and cathedrals, and in ShimaMediterraneanVillage, the Tower of Love has been built, where visitors can pray about love.

Especially on days when the weather is nice, when you ring the Bell of Love -Campana del Amor- in the tower, the sound of the bell ringing is very pleasant.

After ringing the bell, write your wish on the votive tablet ``Pilgrim's Shell - Concha de peregrino'' made from a scallop ♪

This is the "Golden Salon", a salon exclusively for hotel guests.

It is characterized by the Mudéjar style (an architectural style that incorporates Islamic cultural styles into Christian architecture), and is a salon where guests can enjoy free drinks only.

The geometric patterns on the walls and ceiling create a solemn atmosphere. I would love to stay and take advantage of it!

andalusia zone

Next is the Andalusia Zone, which is characterized by its white-walled cityscape that makes you want to say, ``This is Spain!''

Just like the real-life Andalusia region on the Mediterranean coast of Spain, the walls are decorated with pots of flowers, and you can feel gorgeous just by walking around.

I found orange tree wall paint! So, I took a photo of her in a pose where she is picking an orange!

Speaking of the Mediterranean coast, it is also famous as the ``orange production area''. Have you ever heard of Spain's "Valencia Orange"? Is there a lot of people who say that? So...

Of course I'm selling it! Delicious 100% juice made by punching a hole in the orange itself, sticking a straw through it, and drinking the juice! (500 yen including tax)

It's cute just by holding it in your hand♪ And the bright orange and vivid green straws match ShimaMediterraneanVillage townscape cutely!

Additionally, in the Andalusia Zone, you can take a break at the Café and Salon ``Fisherman's Salon (Café Pescador)''. The wooden counter table and window frame are retro and cute, so be sure to give it a try♪

*The cafe is available during the day (irregular holidays), and at night it can be used as an after-bath salon.

Mikonorca Zone *Some areas are limited to guests only

The Mykonorca Zone is inspired by the island of Mykonos, known as the white jewel floating in the Aegean Sea, and the island of Menorca, a popular resort destination.

There are shops, restaurants, and 19 casual guest rooms (40-50m2), some of which are reserved for hotel guests.

The town is surrounded by chalk walls and decorated with cute blue pots, giving you a sophisticated atmosphere!

Area reserved for guests only

alhambra zone

The "Alhambra Zone" includes a natural hot spring (Spa Alhambra) with an Arabic design representative of the Alhambra Palace, luxurious guest rooms (6 rooms) of approximately 70 m2, and the entire area is ShimaMediterraneanVillage accommodation. This is an exclusive area for people.

Here we introduce Spa Alhambra, a natural hot spring with an Arabic design inspired by the hammam of the Alhambra Palace and the Mezquita of Cordoba, a world heritage site in Spain, which can be said to be a symbol of the Alhambra Zone!

There are two indoor baths, one in the Alhambra's hammam and one in the image of the Mezquita in Cordoba, a world heritage site in Spain, and the genders change every day in the morning and afternoon. In addition to the exotic interior decorated with mosaics, you will be invited to an even more extraordinary space with Arabic music and scents!

In the open-air bath, the beautiful scenery of Ago Bay and Arabic music will soothe your mind and body!

Get information from your ears here!

Spa Alhambra is only available to hotel guests, but there is a one-day plan (lunch + hot spring plan) that is limited to three groups per day and can be used by day-trippers as well! Click here if you are interested!

Introduction to hotel rooms

When you stay here, the first thing you'll be concerned about is the room!

So, this time we will introduce Mikonorca Zone's "Superior Double". It's a cute room with white and blue as the main colors!

The room is equipped with goods such as a coffee maker and baked goods to help you relax in your room.

It's sure to relieve the fatigue of your trip!

The bathroom attached to the room has a luxurious feel with red as the base color, which completely contrasts with the atmosphere of the room.

There are plenty of amenities, and the shampoos are from L'Occitane. It's sure to be a pleasant bath time♪

By the way, in addition to the rooms introduced this time, there are various room plans such as luxury suites (some with open-air baths), villa-style villa suites, and standard twins with a fun contrast of white and blue. You can choose according to your purpose.
