In March 2019, the long-awaited new section of the Shin-Meishin Expressway finally opened!

The opening of the line from "Shin Yokkaichi Junction" to "Kameyama Nishi Junction" has eased traffic congestion and made it more convenient♪

Mie Prefecture's tourist spots will become more familiar to you!

Until now, the Higashi-Meihan Expressway between Yokkaichi and Kameyama was congested in the morning and evening, but with the opening of the new section, the time between Yokkaichi JCT and Kameyama Nishi JCT, which previously took about 45 minutes, has been reduced by up to 25 minutes. It is expected that you will be able to go there in 20 minutes!

*"45 minutes" is data for busy times on holidays.

Additionally, traffic accidents, which often occur during congestion, are expected to be reduced by approximately 90%.

With the opening of the line from "Shin Yokkaichi JCT" to "Kameyama Nishi JCT", access to sightseeing spots in the Hokusei area of Mie Prefecture will be smoother than ever!

*On December 21, 2019, the "Nagoya-Ise Rampway" was completed, allowing direct access to the Ise direction of the Higashi-Meihan Expressway and the Shin-Meishin Expressway!

The new interchange will also make it even easier to reach popular tourist spots.

With the completion of Komono IC, you can easily access Gozaisho Ropeway, Yunoyama Onsen, Aquaignis, and paramitamuseum in KomonoTown.

And a new parking area has appeared in the middle of the newly opened section!
The name is "PIT SUZUKA".
Not only can you use it from either the up or down line, but you can also use it from public roads as it has the Suzuka PA Smart IC.

There is a space to convey the charm of Suzuka, and F1 cars that were actually used in the race are also on display!

And the Suzuka parking area is full of gourmet food that can only be eaten here!

This is the ``Suzuka Sumi Miso Ramen'' (980 yen including tax), which has a very impressive black soup made with edible ink.
This is the first local ramen that uses wheat from Mie Prefecture and miso from Tokai Jozo in Suzuka.
It's rich and delicious!

This is the ``Botsuyaki-don'' (780 yen including tax), which uses the famous ``Botsuyaki'' from Suzuka's popular Yakiniku restaurant ``Misakiya''.
This rice bowl was jointly developed with Misakiya, a restaurant in Suzuka that always has long lines and excellent value for money.

You can also try Suzuka-related menu items such as ``Suzuka seaweed and sea lettuce udon'' and ``Suzuka matcha soft serve ice cream,'' as well as Mie gourmet dishes such as ``Matsuzaka beef skewers.''
When you pass through Shinmeishin, be sure to stop by and enjoy the new gourmet food.

And, this Suzuka PA has one of the largest dog runs on the expressway, with an area of approximately 1,250 square meters!
There are plenty of facilities such as areas for large dogs and small dogs, and dog toilets.
It seems that some people will come to Suzuka PA just to let their dogs play at this dog run.

Please drive on this new road and get off at Komono IC, Suzuka PA Smart IC, or Daian IC and enjoy sightseeing in Mie Prefecture.
