Enjoy a fun experience at Mokumoku Handmade Farm! Lunch buffet, milking cows, and making sausages at a popular agricultural park♪

At Mokumoku Handmade Farm, everyone from children to adults can enjoy interacting with cute animals in Iga's natural environment and making their own sausages. This agricultural park is close to Kyoto and Osaka, and is visited by many people from the Kansai area. It's popular because it offers a variety of experiences, but the thoughts of the staff and producers that convey the importance of manufacturing are hidden there. I went there with my 4-year-old child and his mother to see what kind of experience we could have.

A farm park where you can spend a relaxing time. When you enter the park, you will suddenly hear the sounds of pigs!
When you get curious and approach it, you will be greeted by cute mini pigs! A pig that you don't usually see. I was surprised to see that there are many different types of pigs, from small pigs to large pigs!
You can take a closer look.

A stage show is also held here by the staff and mini pigs.
The venue was filled with excitement as the adorable miniature pigs performed in unison with the staff! You can feel closer to the pigs.

At this place, you can also interact with other animals such as feeding pasture to goats and sheep.

Next, we headed to the “Small Leisurely Learning Farm.”
It's a popular place among mothers who say it's a place where children can easily interact with animals. Here, we want children to have fun experiencing farm animals using their five senses, so we offer a variety of experiences.

A very popular experience is riding a cute pony.
Before you ride, the staff will tell you about the pony's personality, tips on how to get along with them, and how to make them happy, so you can feel a sense of familiarity with them.

She was nervous at first, but she seemed to be able to open up to her in the end!

Next, let's try milking the milk together as a parent and child!
Rather than just saying, ``Yes! Let's squeeze!'', first of all, you will have fun learning about dairy cows through stories and quizzes given by the staff.
The awareness of the milk and butter that we casually consume will change, as butter is made from the milk of precious dairy cows, and the period in which cows produce milk is limited.
After the talk, I actually tried milking a cow with my own hands!

The staff had told us in advance that the cow was ``big but gentle and scary,'' so even small children were not scared and were gently milking the cow!

At the ``Small Leisurely Learning Farm,'' you can enjoy horseback riding and milking a pony, as well as milking a calf and watching miniature pigs eat breakfast.

Next we went to lunch. There are several places to eat inside the park, but this time we went to PaPa Beer Restaurant, which is popular for its buffet style.

You can enjoy about 60 kinds of menus using plenty of Mokumoku products such as ham, sausages, bread and tofu delivered from Mokumoku in Iga, as well as vegetables grown by local farmers.
Families will be happy to enjoy a safe, secure and delicious buffet lunch that can only be enjoyed at a farm restaurant where you can clearly see the connection between food and the farm.
The drink menu includes drinks that show the producers' faces, such as local beer from Mokumoku Brewery, Mokumoku Jersey Farm Milk, and Mokumoku Owase Amanatsu Salt Cider.

You can enjoy plenty of fresh vegetables and healthy dishes, and both moms and children will be very satisfied!

I also like the fact that there are children's chairs, and after you've sorted and cleaned up the food yourself, you can put coins in the mailbox and donate to environmental activities.

Next, I went to the handmade wiener making class, which I had booked in advance. This time, it's the first time for a parent and child to try making smoked sausages!
Both mothers and children are curious about how the sausages they usually eat are made. Put on your apron, wash your hands, and you're ready!

The sausage making experience uses the same minced pork that is used at Mokumoku's workshop.
First, mix the seeds with the cone cone thoroughly. It takes a little patience, but mixing thoroughly is the key to making it delicious.
Have fun with your family! Be delicious! Let's have fun kneading.

Using a sheep intestine and a sausage maker, stuff the meat into the sheep intestine.
The key is to pack it gently and firmly to prevent air from getting in and to prevent the sheep intestines from rupturing! Parents and children will work together to make it.

After rolling up the sausage, head to the smoke room. I’m looking forward to seeing how it turns out and what it tastes like!

Complete~! The taste is...! ?
The sausages we made ourselves are special! You can eat the freshly made smoked sausages on the spot or take them home.

In fact, this is where we started the ``handmade wiener class'', the first in the country to experience making sausages.
In addition, there are many other experiences you can enjoy at the park, such as bread making, milking, and strawberry picking, but each experience is filled with the thoughts of the producers and creators, and the food and craftsmanship is reflected in each experience. You can feel the importance of
If you experience it while feeling the producers' thoughts, you might be able to enjoy it in a different way!

``Iga no Sato Mokumoku Handmade Farm'' has a hot spring ``Yaten Mokumoku no Yu'' in the ``farm front area'' where there is no admission fee, a vegetable direct sales store ``Mokumoku Genki na Yasaijuku Market'', and a rural restaurant, so you can enjoy family meals. You can enjoy it all day long.
If you can't enjoy it in just one day, we recommend staying in a dome-shaped cottage at OKAERi Village. Only guests staying at the hotel can participate in the "Morning Activities" at the farm, so please come and visit us again and again!
