Nishiki Mukai Beach Tropical Garden is a free beach! Introducing attractions and parking lots

Nishiki Mukai Beach Tropical Garden in TaikiTown Prefecture is a beach that you can enjoy for free! Parking, changing rooms, and showers are also free. This article provides the latest local information.

What is Nishiki Mukai Beach Tropical Garden?

Nishikimukaigahama Tropical Garden is a beach located in Nishiki, TaikiTown, Mie Prefecture.

TaikiTown is a fishing town facing the Kumanonada Sea, and is characterized by its location surrounded by mountains and the sea, rich in nature.

There are fishing boats and fishing ponds scattered around the fishing port, making it a popular town for fishing enthusiasts.

The Nishiki Mukai Beach Tropical Garden that we will be introducing this time is the only beach in TaikiTown, and was opened in September 2000 as part of a project to promote the health of the town's residents.

The sandy beach is gracefully lined with magnificent palm trees and the sea is highly transparent, giving it the beauty of a tropical paradise.

The ``Kamii House'' rest area towering over the sea is an eye-catching feature, and the view of the emerald green ocean from here is truly spectacular.

There are benches, so we recommend enjoying a picnic while eating your lunch.

The sea around the ocean house is shallow and the waves are calm, making it a comfortable environment for swimming.

However, be careful as the water depth suddenly gets deeper on the offshore side.

When enjoying swimming with your children, it's safe to have floaties and life jackets.

The promenade that surrounds the inner beach is approximately 700 meters long, allowing you to enjoy a walk while feeling the ocean up close.

Walking while enjoying the pleasant sea breeze will refresh your mind and body.

There are play equipment such as swings, slides, and Tarzan ropes near the ocean house, providing an environment where you can have fun even when you're not just swimming at the beach.

Even though it has such a wonderful location and facilities, there is no charge for using it!

Additionally, parking, changing rooms, and showers are free.

The Reel video has received many comments such as ``Is there such a wonderful beach in Mie Prefecture?'' and ``I want to go there!'', making it a place that is currently attracting a lot of attention.

However, since this place has long been a little-known beach, there are fewer reviews and review blogs compared to other popular beaches.

Therefore, in this article I will provide you with the latest information that I gathered locally.

Where is the parking lot?

The first parking lot is located a few minutes walk from Nishiki Mukai Beach Tropical Garden and is free to use.

There are 40 parking spaces, and one thoughtful parking lot is located closest to the entrance.

Click here for a map of the first parking lot (Google Maps will open)

Please note that the parking lot of Tropical House, which is adjacent to the beach, is only available to users of the facility.

Tropical House is a paid facility with a training room and heated walking pool, details of which will be explained later in the article.

About business hours

Nishiki Mukai Beach Tropical Garden is open from 10:00 to 17:00 and is closed on Mondays.

Even outside of the opening season, you can come and go as you like during business hours.

Please note that the entrance will be locked after hours and on public holidays.

About the sea opening period

The opening period for 2023 is from July 6th (Thursday) to August 31st (Thursday).

A safety prayer ceremony is held on the first day of the opening of the sea, and in normal years, the "Isomon Festa" is also held.

Isomon Festa is an annual event held on the first day of the opening of the sea, and there are lots of fun events such as band performances, hula dancing, free Sapph lessons, and marche stalls 🎵

In order to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus, the event has been canceled from 2020 to 2022, but the event in 2023 has not yet been determined. *As of the publication date of the article

Details will be announced on TaikiTown 's official website, so be sure to check it out.

Where are the changing rooms and shower rooms?

There is a building next to the sandy beach that has separate toilets, changing rooms, and shower rooms for men and women, and you can use them for free.

The shower room and changing room are only available until 4:30 pm, so please make sure to use them within that time.

Also, the shower room is only open during the sea season, but there is a free foot washing area nearby that you can use at all times.

Nishiki Mukai Beach Tropical Garden is open until 5:00 pm, so be sure to start preparing for your return trip by 4:30 pm at the latest.

Can I camp/barbecue?

There used to be a paid camping site and a barbecue site near the changing room, but due to deterioration, their use is currently prohibited.

There are falling rocks in the area, so please avoid getting close.

Barbecues outside of the barbecue site are strictly prohibited, but it is OK to bring in food and drinks.

There are no trash cans at the beach, so be sure to take your trash home with you.

About Tropical House

Tropical House, located next to the beach, is a facility aimed at promoting health and recovery, and is equipped with a heated walking pool and training room.

There is a fee for both, but the great thing about it is that it's run by the town, so you can use it at a low price!

There is a parking lot for users only near the entrance of Tropical House, where you can park for free.

Please note that non-users of the facility cannot park here.

This is a view of the heated walking pool, which is an open space with windows all over.

Setting up tents on the beach is prohibited

It is completely prohibited to set up tents on the sandy beach, but it is possible to set up turf umbrellas.

There are several covered rest spaces around the beach, so please take advantage of them.

Tsunami stairs (evacuation route)

There is a tsunami staircase behind the shower room, and you can evacuate to higher ground by climbing it.

The Tsunami Stairs are accessible even in non-emergency situations, and are also a hiking course that leads to Shiohama Yamamura Plaza on the hill.

There are places along the way where you can see the entire beach, so if you want to enjoy the scenery even more, you can also use it as a walking course.

By the way, Shiohama Yamamura Hiroba is a place that can be reached by car, but it is a spectacular view point that overlooks the Kumanonada Sea.

The lush blue sea and magnificent nature below are sure to impress you🎵

On the way to Nishiki Mukai Beach Tropical Garden, there is a slope that leads to Shiohama Yamamura Plaza, so be sure to check it out as well.

About nearby restaurants

There are no restaurants in or around Nishiki Mukai Beach Tropical Garden, so if you want to enjoy a picnic, please bring your own lunch.

There used to be a shop at Tropical House, but it is currently closed.

Recommended shooting points

Here, we will introduce carefully selected photo-worthy points of Nishiki Mukai Beach Tropical Garden.

Around the sea house

The area around the marine house is a great spot to take photos with a tropical atmosphere.

I took this photo at the beach, but the waves are calm and the water is shallow, so there's no need to worry about getting the camera wet.

If you want to take more realistic photos, try submerging your ankles in the water, holding your camera close to the water's surface, and firing the shutter.

Here is the actual photo taken👇

What do you think? You can easily take photos that look like the clear ocean is spreading all over 🎵

When taking pictures, be careful not to drop the camera or get it wet.

Inside the sea house

The inside of the sea house is a spectacular view point where you can see the emerald green sea!

You can also see the palm trees that spread out on the promenade, so you can take photos full of the tropical atmosphere 🎵

Since it is a wooden floating house, you can enjoy the atmosphere of a floating cottage in a tropical resort.

View around the changing room

When you look out over the sandy beach from around the changing room, you'll see a row of magnificent palm trees right in front of you.

Behind the palm trees, you can see the floating house and the emerald green sea, making it a perfect spot to take photos with a tropical feel.

If you also take into consideration the green grass under the palm trees, you will end up with a photo that has a more tropical atmosphere.

What did you think

We have brought you the latest information on Nishikimukaigahama Tropical Garden.

There are beaches all over Mie Prefecture that have a tropical feel, but the location with its magnificent palm trees, photogenic floating houses, and crystal clear sea had an appeal that other beaches don't have.

I think it's the perfect place for those who want to enjoy sea bathing in a location rich in nature, so please give it a try.
