How about some reasonably priced all-you-can-eat yakiniku and Matsusaka beef dishes at Matsusaka on your way back from Ise/Shima?

掲載日:2022.11.18

Mie Prefecture is a treasure trove of ingredients, surrounded by the sea and mountains, and is especially famous for spiny lobster and Matsusaka beef. At Dream Ocean in MatsusakaCity, you can enjoy Matsusaka beef at a reasonable price because they raise it on their own farm, and the popular yakiniku buffet course is great because you can enjoy red meat and short ribs from unfrozen domestic beef! Now, Cairo, a gourmet blogger from Mie Prefecture, will introduce the whole story of Dream Ocean.

First of all, what is Matsusaka beef?

Matsusaka beef is a Japanese Kuroge cow that is registered in the Matsusaka beef individual identification management system and is a heifer (has not given birth to a child), whose longest and final fattening period was within the Matsusaka beef production area (formerly 22 municipalities). It's about cows.

The meat is extremely soft with beautiful marbling, and it has a sweet and elegant aroma. This is the finest Wagyu beef, and you can enjoy the melt-in-your-mouth taste with just one bite.

Dream Ocean is a pioneer in all-you-can-eat yakiniku!

Dream Ocean is a restaurant located along Prefectural Route 37 Toba Matsusaka Line in MatsusakaCity where you can enjoy all-you-can-eat yakiniku and Matsusaka beef dishes.

It has been a pioneer in offering all-you-can-eat yakiniku for over 60 years, and is said to be the originator of all-you-can-eat yakiniku. It was created around the same time as a butcher shop, and initially operated on the second floor of a butcher shop.

Currently, there is a butcher shop next to the restaurant, and since we operate next to the butcher shop without opening a chain, we are able to serve the cut meat immediately at the restaurant. The red meat and short ribs on the buffet are made with domestic beef that has never been frozen. The appeal is that you can taste the flavor of the meat itself.

The parent company, Seko Foods, owns seven private farms that raise Matsusaka beef, and has received "Farm HACCP" and "JGAP (organization)" W certification as a beef cattle farm. Since we handle everything from breeding to sales in-house, we are able to provide safe, secure, and high-quality Matsusaka beef at reasonable prices.

Yakiniku buffet course and Matsusaka beef menu

First, order your food at the reception and pay first. We recommend that you make a reservation in advance, as the venue may be reserved or fully booked. Additional drinks can be ordered later.

The most popular is definitely the Yakiniku buffet course.

Prices are 2,750 yen for adults, 2,200 yen for elementary school students, 880 yen for infants, and 550 yen for 2 and 3 years old (all tax included). Payment will be by cash or credit card.
The time limit is 90 minutes, and it is not all-you-can-eat Matsusaka beef.

In the case of a buffet course, you will be given an explanation in case there is a lot of leftover food.
It is prohibited to take leftover food home even if it is delicious.

If there is more than 300g of leftover food per table, there will be an additional charge of 500 yen (tax included) per 100g of leftover food, so instead of rushing to take too much at once, it is better to divide it into parts and pick it up several times. Tips.
Arrange the dishes you're interested in little by little, and if you like what you eat, go pick up more, so you can eat everything without leaving anything behind.
Please don't forget your mask when you go to pick it up from the second time onwards.

Other than the buffet, all dishes are made with Matsusaka beef.

Popular dishes are the Yakiniku Gozen and Sukiyaki Gozen.

At regular restaurants, the amount of Matsusaka beef used in the yakiniku gozen is 120g to 150g, but at Ocean, we offer 200g.

This is a single item menu for Yakiniku. Click here if you want to enjoy the taste of Matsusaka beef.

Other food menus. There are menus with various parts and cooking methods.

Sukiyaki and Shabu Shabu are normally for 2 people, but you can have them for 1 person for an additional 330 yen. Reward to myself.

This is the drink menu. Red wine pairs perfectly with beef dishes such as steak and grilled meat. Don't miss the refreshing shochu made with natural water.

This time, I ordered the Yakiniku buffet course and the Yakiniku special 200g.

Then inside the restaurant

After paying, we headed to the restaurant venue. I think you'll be surprised when the door opens. Here is how it looks.

The ceiling is high and there is an open feeling. The ceiling and walls are unified in dark colors, creating a chic, luxurious, and calm atmosphere.

It is easy for groups of women and individuals to stop by.
All seats are non-smoking, and there are 224 table seats.
In addition, there are two VIP rooms* (accommodating 16 and 6 people) and table seating for 64 people for meals other than buffet.
Each table is spaced apart and separated by partitions to ensure hygiene.

*The VIP room requires advance reservations and is available to those who have ordered the "Matsuzaka Beef Special Course."

Very popular yakiniku buffet corner

Then I'll go to the buffet corner to get the ingredients.
We are distributing gloves to those who wish to wear them, so if you are interested, please ask a staff member.

There are 35 types of offal, pork, and chicken, mainly domestic beef.

Don't forget that there is a raw egg on the top shelf that you can enjoy sukiyaki style.

There are also many dishes other than meat.
Dishes using Matsusaka beef include hamburgers, meat buns, minced meat, and creamy horumon.

There are 13 types of fried foods. A wide selection of classic french fries, onion rings, and chicken skin rice crackers.

There are meat buns and curry buns with Matsusaka beef in the large bamboo steamer.

This corner had 36 types of vegetables, fruits, desserts, etc. With a wide variety of dressings, you can create your own salad. There is also sanche, which is wrapped around meat and is a refreshing dish.

We recommend soft serve ice cream as a finishing touch.

There was rich vanilla, Yubari melon, strawberry, and chocolate. Women and children will also be satisfied.

Yakiniku buffet course

Return to the table and continue grilling.
Soy sauce sauce, miso sauce, and lemon sauce are placed on the table of the smokeless roaster.
Yakiniku can also be eaten sukiyaki-style by mixing soy sauce and eggs.
Lemon sauce goes well with tongue.

I arranged it little by little like this so as not to take too much from the beginning.

I arranged the meat for yakiniku.

From above: Shabu-shabu ribs, Matsusaka beef seasoned meat offal, Momidare ribs, Matsusaka beef hormone mix, seared ribs, and sukiyaki-style yakiniku.

This is a side dish. I wasn't too greedy and carefully selected what I wanted to eat.

Matsusaka beef creamy offal, grilled pork, original sujikoro, spare ribs, meat buns with Matsusaka beef, hamburgers with Matsusaka beef, doteni, etc.

Lastly, special roast beef, sanchae, Chinese cabbage kimchi, salted cabbage, etc.

I tried baking it.

All of the lean meat from domestic beef is tender, and the offal from Matsusaka beef is fatty and delicious.

Yakiniku special (200g)

A set of Matsusaka beef triangle ribs, grilled vegetables, beef stew, salad, fruit, and pickles.

It's a beautiful sashimi.

I tried baking it.

As expected, Matsusaka beef is very tender and full of flavor.

I left the restaurant with a full stomach and very satisfied.

Shimofuri Honpo next door sells and ships Matsusaka beef for sukiyaki, yakiniku, shabu-shabu, and steak.

We also sell fried foods and side dishes eaten at the yakiniku buffet, so why not take them as souvenirs?
