The mountain lilies that bloom in the Hase district, a post town on the Wakayama Highway, are called ``Nase lilies'', and are rare in number and are protected locally.
When the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, many photographers flock to the area in search of beautiful subjects.

Hase lily at Hase Botanical Garden (MatsusakaCity)
Hase Botanical Garden is a collection of plants that live in Iikochi MatsusakaCity. You can see a variety of seasonal flowers throughout the year, such as plums, cherry blossoms, and watermelon in the spring, Hase lily and crape myrtle in the summer, fireflies and gentians in the fall, and sazanka and camellia in the winter.
