Kokekokko Republic's "All-you-can-eat eggs! Egg-fried rice" is very popular!

Kokekokko Republic, located in TakiTown Town, Mie Prefecture, is one of the largest free-range chicken farms in Japan, and is unique in that it raises both male and female chickens together in conditions close to their natural environment. ``All-you-can-eat egg! Egg rice'' made with delicious eggs is popular.

A poultry farm that focuses on free-range fertilized eggs

As you exit the Sewataki Interchange, you will come across a conspicuous chicken monument and a sign that says ``All-you-can-eat rice with egg.''
I was really curious about it, so I immediately went to Kokekokko Republic Mountain Station Yotte-tei.

As expected, I ordered rice with egg. The elastic, plump egg yolk is shiny and shiny. Make a well in the rice, add the egg yolk, and a few drops of soy sauce.
...Mmm, this is delicious! Sweet, rich, and packed with flavor. I was told that the difference lies in the breeding method and food.

The chickens of Kokekokko Republic are raised using a free-range method.

5,500 chickens are kept in near-natural conditions in a 100m x 6m chicken house, which is said to be the largest free-range chicken farm in Japan.
Since they are raised in conditions close to nature, with both sexes together, it is natural that they taste better than those raised in crammed cages.

Grow in natural conditions without stress

The advantage of free-range breeding is that they get a lot of exercise. By allowing them to freely drink water, eat food, and lay eggs, they can lay healthy eggs without stress.

``Chickens are sensitive to stress, and if they're in that condition they won't produce good eggs.If you let them live as naturally as possible, they'll produce very rich and yummy eggs,'' said a third-year employee. Kohei Tsuji is a young manager who has already been entrusted with managing the chicken house despite his age.

``Even when people enter the chicken house, we don't make any noise so as not to cause stress, and we work as if it were air.''
Although we work like air, there are actually many things that we need to gradually teach.

“Chickens with strong bodies consistently produce good eggs, so we encourage them to eat a lot from an early age.The eggs are then laid in nest boxes, but eggs laid outside of nest boxes are shipped. Therefore, it is important to make them remember the locations of water, food, and nest boxes.”
These things will be taught gradually over the course of two weeks.

Chickens gradually become cute

The chickens, who were scared at first, eventually started following him.
Now, when you look at Tsuji's face, you can see 3,000 chickens following Tsuji one by one, following his every move. It's like the Bremen Town Musicians.

“After all, when you take care of them, you start to understand the differences between them, and each one has its own unique personality and is cute.”
...Mr. Tsuji seems very happy when talking about chickens, which is impressive. You can tell from the way they talk that they are raising the eggs with love, hoping that they will give birth to even the best eggs. Kokekokko Republic's cage-free fertilized eggs are delicious, born from the love of Mr. Tsuji and other keepers.

By the way, you can also enjoy grilled free-range chicken, which has a lot of exercise and has a good texture.
It goes great with the slightly sweet and spicy sauce!
Be sure to eat this!
