What is ShimaCity Tourist Farm?

ShimaCity Tourist Farm is a flower spot in ShimaCity where seasonal flowers bloom on a vast site of approximately 7,800 square meters.

The park is open for each flower season, with moss phlox and nemophila in spring, sunflowers in summer, and cosmos in autumn.

You can check the latest opening information on ShimaCity Tourist Farm's official Instagram, and the 2023 sunflower season will be open from July 26th (Wednesday) to August 15th (Tuesday).

Continuing from last year, a pink door has been placed in the yellow sunflower field, which is also picturesque!

Recommended access method

ShimaCity Tourist Farm is adjacent to Michi-no-eki Ise-Shima. It takes about 40 minutes by car from Ise IC via the Ise Futami-Toba Line, making it convenient for accessing the Shima area.

About parking lots and fees

There is a sign near the entrance of ShimaCity Tourist Farm that says ``Parking Lot Entrance'', so if you follow it, you will arrive at the entrance.

*Please note that you cannot enter the park from beyond the "ShimaCity Tourist Farm" sign.

The parking lot is located in front of the entrance and has a huge parking space that can accommodate about 80 cars!

The entrance fee is 300 yen per person, and children under junior high school age are free! What's more, it's a valuable place where pets can enter for free.

*Opening hours in 2023 are 9:00-17:00
*Please enter your pet on a leash or in your arms.

Highlights of the sunflower field

As you enter the park, you will be greeted by a field of sunflowers that is one of the largest in Mie Prefecture.

There is a walking path inside the field, and the ground is covered, so your shoes won't get dirty easily, which is a great feature!

The sunflowers bloom on a gentle hill, so if you set up your camera from under the walkway, you can take pictures of the sunflowers blooming all the way to the back of the site.

By getting close to sunflowers, you can take photos that make the flowers more realistic.

If you take a photo with the blue sky or sun in the background, it will look more like summer ♫

In 2021 and 2022, a door has been installed that allows you to go anywhere, making it a perfect photo spot for commemorative photos.

The pink door will continue to be installed in 2023, making it a popular spot along with the new teepee tent!

There are so many sunflowers here that it's also a perfect location for portraits.

It was fun to be able to take a photo of myself covered in sunflowers up to the bottom of my neck lol

Michi-no-eki Ise Shima

Michi-no-eki Ise-Shima is Michi-no-eki adjacent to ShimaCity Tourist Farm.

We sell seafood and specialty products from Ise-Shima, and you can enjoy seafood bowls at the attached restaurant.

When I come here, I always buy ``Aosa Nori''. The price is cheaper than at the supermarket, so I end up buying about 3 bags lol.

Hamayaki was sometimes sold outside the shop, and I was able to eat freshly grilled turban shells, oysters, and oysters ♫

By the way, the Hiougi shellfish is a shellfish that looks similar to a scallop and is often eaten in the Ise-Shima region.

Michi-no-eki Ise-Shima is located about a minute by car from ShimaCity Tourist Farm, so why not pick up some souvenirs here after viewing the sunflowers?

Yokoyama Observatory (Yokoyama Sky Cafe Terrace)

Yokoyama Observatory (Yokoyama Tenku Cafe Terrace) has a wood-grain deck terrace overlooking Ago Bay, and is about 15 minutes by car from ShimaCity Tourist Farm.

From the terrace, you can easily enjoy the ocean view as if you were looking at it from the top of a mountain.

*If the parking lot on the hill is full, you can use the Sozo no Mori Yokoyama parking lot. From there, it is about a 20 minute walk to Yokoyama Observatory (Yokoyama Tenku Cafe Terrace).

Mid to late July, when the sunflowers are in full bloom, is the season when the fresh greenery of Ago Bay is beautiful! It's the perfect time to see the blue sea and islands ♫

If you're thirsty or hungry, why not take a break at MiradorShima attached to Yokoyama Observatory (Yokoyama Tenku Cafe Terrace)?

You can order light meals, sweets, drinks, etc. made with ingredients from Ise-Shima, and you can see Ago Bay from inside the restaurant.

ShimaMediterraneanVillage

ShimaMediterraneanVillage is a resort accommodation with a Spanish atmosphere, and is about 15 minutes by car from the aforementioned Yokoyama Observatory (Yokoyama Tenku Cafe Terrace).

You can enjoy a day trip to the village for 700 yen per person, so after visiting Himawari → Yokoyama Observatory (Yokoyama Tenku Cafe Terrace), why not enjoy the feeling of an overseas resort at ShimaMediterraneanVillage?

GozaShirahamaBeach

GozaShirahamaBeach is a beach that will surprise you with its high transparency! There are plenty of beach huts and campgrounds, and the area is crowded with beach swimmers in the summer.

It's about 40 minutes by car from ShimaCity Tourist Farm and about 45 minutes from ShimaMediterraneanVillage, so it's an easy place to stop by on a day trip.

The sea is so beautiful that it has been certified as one of the ``100 Best Bathing Beaches'' by the Ministry of the Environment, and boasts a clarity that makes you imagine the sea in Okinawa.

This is a shallow Shirahama beach with calm waves, making it a popular beach for families with small children.

This is a place that is recommended not only for swimming, but also for a short walk along the beach.

There are plenty of campgrounds in the surrounding area, including Laguna Ise Shima, where you can easily enjoy the current trend of glamping.

From December 2021, a new dome-shaped tent that can accommodate 1 to 10 people will be installed, and is equipped with facilities and amenities that will allow you to stay comfortably all year round, including air conditioning, heating and cooling, a refrigerator, a water dispenser, and towels. .

Tomoyama Park

Tomoyama Park is a park where you can see the islands of Ago Bay up close, and is about 25 minutes by car from the aforementioned GozaShirahamaBeach.

This is a place where you can watch the beautiful sunset over Ago Bay all year round, so it's the perfect sunset spot to end your trip to Ise-Shima.

After sunset, you may be able to see the magical magic hour! The silhouette of the islands and the sunset sky reflected on the sea surface are picturesque!

If you want to spend a romantic moment with your loved one, we recommend watching the sunset at Tomoyama Park.

You can see Ago Bay from the park's parking lot, so you can enjoy viewing it even in your car.

After watching the sunset, why not take a day trip to the hot springs at the nearest hotel?

About 3 minutes by car from Kirigaki Observation Deck is Miyako Resort Okushima Aqua Forest, where you can take a day trip bath until 9pm! *Last admission is 8:00 p.m.

The price is 1,050 yen for adults (junior high school students and above) and 550 yen for children (elementary school students), and I was happy that it included a towel.
