Gannoyama dance and votive fireworks to pray for recovery from illness and safety for the family

Every year on July 31st, a votive fireworks display is held at the Yoimiya Festival of the Gion Festival at Yobuta Shrine. The fireworks over the approximately 35m tall large flag are a unique sight of Yobuta Shrine. There are many stalls on the grounds, and it is very busy with families and friends coming together.
Every year on August 1st, the ``Gannoyama Odori'' dance is held at the Gion Festival, where people pray for recovery from illness and the safety of their families. In the "Gan-no-yama Odori", a house called "Gan-no-yama" with three Japanese drums attached to it is pulled around the grounds by 30 pullers, while parishioners wearing feathers on their heads beat the drums to the tune of songs. I'll dance. The dance is performed three times, with the mikoshi being returned to the shrine.

You can view and edit the sightseeing route (My Plan on My Page) that will take you around the selected spots.
