Tsubakinakato-JinjaShrine (Tsubaki Nakato Shrine) is a shrine that is a combination of Tsunami Shrine and Nakado Shrine, and the deities enshrined are the god of Michihiraki, Sarutahiko no Okami, and Tenzaku. We enshrine No-no-Mikoto (Amenokun-no-Mikoto) and Nakazutsuno-no-Mikoto (Nakazutsuno-no-Mikoto).
In addition, two lion heads that are said to have been dedicated by Kobo Daishi during the Heian period are enshrined in the main shrine, and the Nakato-style lion dance has been passed down since ancient times.
It was founded in March 213 (at the end of the 5th century) by Emperor Yuryaku, and is a historic Engishiki shrine.As the number one shrine in Ise, it is visited by worshipers from all over the country on the ``Ichinomiya Pilgrimage''. Tsubaki Taisha Shrine, located in the same city, is also the number one shrine in Ise.
Starting in 2021, we will begin `` Hanachozu'', which will decorate the shrine grounds with flowers, and ``Seasonal Goshuin'', which will change the content and color of the flowers every month, and will be decorated with the lion's head of the deity and seasonal flowers. It is also distributed monthly.
There is also Hanachozu at Mizugaki-JinjaShrine which is about a 10-minute drive from here, so be sure to enjoy the Old Ise Kaido Hanamode Tour, which includes both Hanachozu please.
