Kyorindo Ruins

It was a domain school of kambe domain during the Edo period, and was located within kambe Castle, and is now part of the grounds of kambe High School.
The founder and its year are unknown, but according to a document submitted by Kawamura Chikuken to Mie Prefecture in 1812, the fifth lord of the domain, Tadamasu Honda, renovated the Ninomaru official residence and established it as a school. It is said that this continued for over 60 years until the Meiji era when the feudal domains were abolished and the establishment of prefectures.
Tadatane, the first generation member of the Honda family, had close friendships with Sorai Hagiu and others, and established Seishokan in the domain's residence in Edo to encourage the samurai of the domain to study.
