The mysterious and interesting world of Ukiyo-e
Ukiyo-e, which gained popularity as a source of entertainment and information for the common people during the Edo period, is attracting attention from people all over the world due to its high artistic quality.
This exhibition will feature works by modern artists, including ``yose-e'' (also known as trompe l'oeil), ``uke-e'', ``rebus-e'', ``letter picture'', and ``shadow picture'' from among the numerous ukiyo-e prints. We will introduce you to the world of ``play pictures,'' which are filled with the fashion and humor of the common people of the Edo period. Please enjoy the many ``play pictures'' filled with laughter and a sense of humor that people of the time enjoyed in a fun way.

9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (Admission until 5 p.m.)
Open every day during the exhibition period
Admission fee: General 1,000 yen (4-piece set ticket 3,000 yen), University students 800 yen, High school students 500 yen, Junior high school students and younger free
From Kintetsu Yokkaichi Station, take the Kintetsu Yunoyama Line for about 25 minutes and get off at Ohaneen Station, then walk 300 meters in the direction of Yunoyama Onsen.
Approximately 6.5km towards Yunoyama from Higashi-Meihan "Yokkaichi IC"
Or about 4km from Shinmeishin "Komono IC"
Free parking available for 100 regular cars and large buses
