Two piles (Shimagahara, IgaCity)

Nihon-kui is a common name, and in 1699, the two stakes were installed together on the former Yamato Kaido road as the border between the Todo domain (Iga province) and the Yagyu domain (Yamashiro province) at the direction of the shogunate prosecutor. It is said that this is the place where Today, there are stone guideposts on both the old and new roads, marking the border between Mie and Kyoto prefectures.
