Mikunigoe Rindo Observation Deck
Spectacular scenic spots spanning three countries
Along the Mikunikoshi Forest Road, a wide-area basic forest road that connects the three prefectures of Iga, Yamashiro and Omi. The Iga Basin stretches out below, and you can even see the mountains of Nara in the distance.
The area near the prefectural border is at an altitude of 600 meters, and approximately 1,000 cherry trees are planted along the forest road. Due to the difference in altitude, the cherry blossom season is long, making it a famous spot for cherry blossom viewing in the spring and autumn leaves in the fall.
The Mikunikoshi Forest Road is a very popular course for cycling enthusiasts.
