Powerful fireworks are set off above the torii gate!
At Yoimiya, after the votive fireworks are set off, the 11 parishioners bring lanterns and perform the Kugatachi ritual, praying for a good harvest and good health. The next day, the Gion Festival, includes the Chigo Odori dance and the Hanagasa Shinto ritual (Uchiwatori).
*Chigo Odori and Hanagasa Shinto rituals may be canceled.
