Yamada Magistrate's Office Memorial Hall
The Yamada Magistrate's Office, which was almost completely burnt down in 1845, was rebuilt in the following year, 1846. Based on the drawings, such as "New Construction of Kobayashi Office," Shoin, Ohakushu, and other buildings were constructed. Part of the public part has been restored. The main building is 81.3 tsubo and the gate nagaya is 19.6 tsubo, approximately one-sixth of the area of the former Kobayashi Government Office building. The 18th magistrate was Ooka Noto noto kami Tadasuke (later Echizen kami), who was famous for the ``Ooka judgment'' and served for four years.
