Kan'ami Memorial Monument

A monument entitled "Kan'ami Soza no Chi" is enshrined in Kan'ami Furusato Park, and the Kan'ami Festival is held every year on the first Sunday of November, centered around a Noh stage.

Kan'ami, who was born in Iga, went to Yamato from an early age and entered the path of Sarugaku, mastering the performing arts. Kan'ami, who later became a master of Noh, built his first Sarugaku-za (later Kanze-za) in his wife's birthplace, NabariCity. Later, together with his son Zeami, Nohgaku flourished in Kyoto and became one of the pinnacles of traditional performing arts.
