This beach was opened in 1919, and has a white sandy beach, beautiful pine trees, and shallow water. It is crowded with many people during the summer swimming season.
In 1986, it was selected as one of the ``100 Best White Sand and Green Pines'' by the ``Japanese Pine Green Preservation Association.'' Many tourists visit not only from within the prefecture but also from the Chubu and Kansai areas.
