The first floor is equipped with a library, training room, and office. On the second floor, there is a local museum, archives, etc., which are used to promote social education in TamakiTown and develop local culture.
Ryuhei Murayama, of whom TamakiTown is proud, was born in Tamaru, Ise Province in 1850, and was a former samurai who served in the former Tamaru territory of the Kishu domain. After the Meiji Restoration, his family moved to Osaka. He lived through the turbulent times in our country during the Meiji, Taisho, and early Showa periods, and founded the Asahi Shimbun with his strong pioneering spirit and outstanding leadership. He is known as a great figure in the newspaper world who cultivated the Asahi into a world-class newspaper. He has also made great achievements in social and cultural projects.
