A historic shrine where you can feel the Susano-onomikoto

Every year on the night of February 18th, Yobuta Shrine holds a ritual called ``Dada Oshi,'' in which young men wearing loincloths push each other. At the spring festival held on April 20th every year, the Oe no Kakko Dance, which is designated as a cultural property by the prefecture, is held. Additionally, fireworks are held at the Gion Festival Yoimiya on July 31st every year, and the Gannoyama Odori dance, a prefecturally designated cultural property, is held on August 1st every year. At the Gion Festival, seven large flags (onobori) about 35 meters in height are erected, making it a spectacular sight.

3rd year of Emperor Senka (536)
