Meticulous gagaku “Sante Sanju” and “Kitoku Kitoku”
Gagaku was introduced from mainland China to the Korean peninsula about 1,400 years ago. It is music with the oldest tradition in our country. The gorgeous costumes and elegant dances are an outstanding Japanese art that was perfected over many years with Asuka Tenpyo Muromachi.
``Sante'' is said to have been composed by Empress Jingu to imitate the appearance of Tokawa Myojin appearing at the bow of a ship and taking command and defeating the enemy during the battle with Silla. There is also a theory that it was created at the time of Buddha's birth. It is said that playing this song will protect the earth.
The instep is decorated with the image of a dragon holding a ball.
The left side martial dance ``Kitoku'', which is representative of its splendor and bravery, is a masterpiece of the right side martial dance, in which blue costumes are worn in contrast to the vermilion costumes of the left side ``Sante'' and the ban dance ``Sante''. .
