Togenji Temple
Togenji Temple

It is said that the name of this temple comes from the legend of Togenkyo in China.
According to temple legend, it was destroyed in a huge fire that wiped out the entire village in 1677, and the main hall and reception hall were rebuilt the following year.
There are a main hall, Kannon-do, and Jizo-do within the precincts, and in 1971, the Baika Kannon was enshrined there, making it the 71st sacred site of the Mie Baika Kannon.
