Clam Plaza Clam Plaza
This is a complex facility that includes a fisheries cooperative, a community center, and a fisheries exchange center. It is used as a base for exchange activities that take advantage of Kuwana's fisheries, including clams, and for promoting local production for local consumption.
At the restaurant ``Hamakaze,'' you can enjoy set meals made with clams landed at the nearby Akasuka fishing port.
In addition to an exhibition room about Akasuka's fishing industry, there is also an observation deck overlooking the Ibi and Nagara River estuaries, making it a perfect location to learn about the history of Akasuka as a fishing town.
