Matsusaka's Okuzashiki kahadavalley ~The village that connects the ancient capital and Ise~

Matsusaka's Okuzashiki kahadavalley is said to have prospered as the Wakayama Highway, a route for shrine visits and pilgrimages in ancient times.
Nowadays, it is used as a tourist route connecting Osaka, Nara, Matsusaka, and Ise, and one of its attractions is touring the unexplored regions of mountains and valleys with some of the most mysterious scenery in the country.
This is a new type of resort where you can fully enjoy outdoor activities such as mountain climbing, hiking, and cycling.
In 2016, the Kushida River was selected as one of the 18 rivers with the best water quality.

Let's tour kahadavalley! Introducing recommended sightseeing spots and cycling courses!

kahadavalley (pronounced ``Kahadakyo'') is a gorge located along National Route 166, which connects MatsusakaCity and Nara. The valley is full of seasonal scenery such as autumn leaves and cherry blossoms, and the national highway is crowded with tourists on bicycles and tours. We will introduce the charms and ways to enjoy kahadavalley.

"I fell in love with kahadavalley" Masashi Asada, a photographer from Mie Prefecture, interviews members of the regional revitalization cooperation team who were drawn to Matsusaka's rich nature and culture.

kahadavalley straddles the Iinami and Iitaka areas of MatsusakaCity. Along the Kushida River and its tributaries, you can enjoy the rich greenery and beautiful scenery of each season. Masashi Asada, a photographer from Mie Prefecture, interviews members of the Regional Revitalization Cooperation Volunteers who moved to Matsusaka because they fell in love with its natural beauty. kahadavalley, autumn leaves are in full bloom! We traveled to the highlights of MatsusakaCity.

National Route 166, which is popular as the road leading from Kahada Gorge to kahadavalley Prefecture in the nature-rich Iinan/Iidaka area in the western part of MatsusakaCity, is a scenic spot where you can enjoy the scenery of each season! We took a drive while enjoying the autumn leaves in the mountains and went on a trip to visit various sightseeing spots. (November 2009)
