A comprehensive food and healing resort with sophisticated buildings that catch the eye

Aquaignis is located at the foot of Mt.Gozaisho, the main peak of the Suzuka Mountains. Since opening in 2012, it has continued to gain popularity as a comprehensive resort with the themes of "healing" and "food."

It is crowded with day-trippers who enjoy "hot springs + meals", but there are also plenty of accommodation facilities and a spacious space where you can spend your time comfortably.

This time, we will introduce the services of the newly started hot spring facility as well as its appeal as an accommodation facility!

This stylish, eye-catching building in a tranquil landscape full of nature is Kataoka Onsen, which is fed by 100% natural hot spring water.

Inside the highly designed building, which is based on white, there is a shop where you can enjoy sweets and meals.

In Latin, "aqua" means "water" and "ignis" means "fire," and the concept of the facility is expressed from various angles, such as hot springs and cuisine that require water and fire, and buildings surrounded by water. Masu.

A dignified bamboo forest creates a “healing space”

The first thing you'll want to enjoy at Aquaignis is Kataoka Onsen, a natural hot spring that uses 100% natural hot spring water without any addition of water, heating, or circulation.

The alkaline spring water, known as the ``beauty bath,'' has a pleasant ``slimy'' feel to the skin, leaving your skin smooth after taking a bath.
In front of the ``indoor bath'' is a quaint bamboo forest, where you can enjoy an extraordinary and luxurious relaxing experience.

The open-air bath called ``Bamboo Forest Bath'' is also a wonderful Japanese space. There are three types of baths: ``tub bath'' (photo), ``stair bath'', and ``laying bath'', so you can relax according to your preference.
Just by soaking in this hot spring, you'll feel like you're glad you came!

New facilities have been added to enhance the "relaxation area"!

In the summer of 2018, Kataoka Onsen's "relaxation area" was renovated.

At the beauty salon run by the organic cosmetics brand MiMC, you can receive a menu (facial treatments, body treatments) tailored to each individual's skin through careful counseling.

Additionally, a new facility has been completed where you can experience a "mineral mist bath."
``Lu Furo'', which is currently a hot topic, detoxifies waste products from the body by being wrapped in natural minerals called medicinal stones and natural minerals in the form of a mist. I'm happy to be able to experience cutting-edge beauty!

“Accommodation building” and “organic detached inn” packed with attention to detail

As you go deeper into Kataoka Onsen, down a corridor with a calm atmosphere, you will find the accommodation building.
Many people have been to Aquaignis, but have never been to this accommodation building.

The accommodation building has 15 Japanese-style rooms with 8 tatami mats each. Recommended for solo travelers or couples who want to spend a relaxing time!

Organic outhouses are popular among people who want to experience something more special.

There are 4 types of inns, all with unique structures! One of the cedar rooms has chairs suspended from the ceiling, and the gentle swaying sound is very soothing.

A clean cedar bedroom. The sheets and pillowcases are also made from organic materials.

If you go out onto the deck terrace and go to the back, you will find a private open-air bath.
Enjoy the 100% natural hot springs to your heart's content while feeling the seasonal breeze!

The other three types of detached lodgings also have their own recommended points!
This room has a height difference, and as the name suggests, it has cute ``chestnut'' cushions.

``Matsu'' has stylish curtains and furniture with pop designs, and a hammock on the terrace. ``Hinoki'' is known for its simple Japanese-Western style rooms.
Each space looks great on social media and is popular among young couples and groups!

You'll want to try "Italian" and "sweets" prepared by top chefs at least once!

Speaking of Aquaignis, one of the attractions is that you can enjoy dishes and sweets prepared by nationally famous chefs.

There are two restaurants run by Masayuki Okuda, who is known as a genius Italian chef, but this time we chose "Sala Bianchi Al Quecciano"!

The photo shows lunch from the ``Beautiful Day Trip Plan,'' which includes hot springs, ``MiMC,'' and ``Le Furo'' (reservations required).
It uses a lot of vegetables and has a healthy and new taste. Still, it has a lot of volume, which is amazing!

“New shop” where you can find wonderful souvenirs

Aquaignis Art Gallery On, which opened in the fall of 2018, is a shop whose space was created by ceramic artist Koichi Uchida. The vessels selected by Mr. Uchida all have sophisticated designs and are perfect as souvenirs to give to your loved ones!

“Strawberry picking” is a popular experience where you can enjoy seasonal flavors!

In addition, the ``strawberry picking'' that you can enjoy at Chef Tsujiguchi's strawberry farm ``TSUJIGUCHI FARM'' is also very popular. The strawberries picked in the morning will be used for cakes such as "Confiture Ash". Hats off to you for creating an environment where you can use fresh ingredients.

Strawberries grown using Aquaignis unique method of utilizing hot spring heat are characterized by their high sugar content. Strawberry picking is a popular experience, so make your reservation early!
