Enjoy bread, cake, food, and hot springs at Aquaignis! Why not spend a luxurious day at a resort complex where you can also stay overnight?

掲載日:2017.10.03

Aquaignis is a popular spot in Komono Town, KomonoTown Prefecture. This complex resort is filled with the charms of healing and food, including sweets created by chef Hirohiro Tsujiguchi and Kataoka Hot Springs, which are fed by natural hot springs. You can stay in a detached inn and soak in the hot springs many times, relaxing and enjoying sweets, or you can take a day trip and enjoy lunch and hot water. Introducing the appeal of Aquaignis, which can be enjoyed in a variety of ways, divided into three themes: food, hot springs, and overnight stays. We will also provide information on souvenirs and access, where to book the "Lunch + Sweets + Bath" plan, and where to book accommodation!

Aquaignis, a comprehensive resort for healing and food, is an 8-minute walk from Yunoyama Onsen Station on the Kintetsu Railway.
What spreads out there is a photogenic space that is comfortable no matter where you are, and looks picturesque no matter where you look from. Why not soothe your daily fatigue in a hot spring with excellent spring quality, enjoy cuisine prepared by a world-famous chef, and simply relax in a space full of taste created by a contemporary designer?

Yunoyama Onsen Station is the last stop on the Kintetsu Yunoyama Line. From here it is about an 8 minute walk to Aquaignis.
If you take the local bus bound for Aquaignis, you will arrive in about 3 minutes. There is also a convenient high-speed direct bus from Nagoya Station, which takes approximately one hour each way, with one round trip daily on weekdays and two to three round trips on weekends and holidays.

The signboards you see on the way by car are very impressive.
You may be wondering what the shape of the white logo drawn on the dark blue is. This is said to be in the shape of the ``fire'' and ``water'' that are associated with hot springs, as well as ``deer antlers.'' The origin of the name is that a woodcutter who found an injured deer bathing in a hot spring, let the deer escape without being seen by a hunter who appeared there, and in return, he was told that the hot spring would heal the wound. It seems that the idea came from the legend of Yunoyama.
That's why Yunoyama Onsen is also called ``Shika no Yu.''

A modern complex that suddenly appears in a peaceful area surrounded by mountains.
All the buildings are one-storied, with a high view of the sky that matches the rich natural scenery. The carefully calculated balance of the colors of the exterior walls, the texture of the flooring materials, and the greenery of the plants is exquisite, and its beauty will take your breath away.

In this report, we will introduce the charm of Aquaignis by dividing it into three themes: food, hot springs, and overnight stays!
Let's start with food.
Chef Hirohiro Tsujiguchi's bakery [Mariage de Farine] is open from 8am. The store's name means "powder marriage" in French, and is pronounced "Mariage de Farine." We are particular about using domestic wheat, and by aging and fermenting our original wheat flour, which is carefully selected and combined, we create a deep flavor.

The heart-shaped bread in the foreground, ``Mariage France,'' is characterized by its crisp, fragrant outside and fluffy, mildly sweet inside. Both Danish and French breads have a firm and heavy flavor when you put them in your mouth.

This is a stone oven where delicious bread is baked.
If your timing is right, you will see smoke coming out of the chimney on the roof. The one on the left is firewood harvested in Mie Prefecture. All the firewood used in the stone kiln is sourced from Mie Prefecture.

Patisserie [Confiture H] has an array of carefully made confitures (jams)!
This is also a popular restaurant of Chef Tsujiguchi. The colorful confitures are exciting just by looking at them, and it's surprising that none of them are colored. The fact that the color is so naturally beautiful is a testament to the quality of the materials used. How about having a wonderful tea time with cakes and baked goods?

If you buy it together with a stylish cake, it will definitely make a great souvenir.

[il-ché-cciano mie-le] is a restaurant run by chef Masayuki Okuda, who was selected as one of the top 1,000 chefs in the world.
You can enjoy Italian cuisine made with fresh ingredients unique to Chef Okuda, who has even had an audience with the Pope in order to promote the safety of Japanese ingredients. We also have reasonably priced pasta and pizza sets, so you can feel at ease even if you are bringing your family! The open kitchen is also one of the attractions.

If you want to enjoy Chef Okuda's authentic Italian cuisine, we recommend [Sa-la bianchi Al-ché-cciano].
With the theme of "local production for local consumption," you can enjoy course meals made with luxuriously selected ingredients. It's perfect for spending adult time with friends, with your lover, or even alone.

If you want to enjoy Japanese food, please visit [Kasaan Pros and Cons] or the counter restaurant [Roan Atatakami].
Enjoy authentic Japanese cuisine and menus supervised by Chef Masahiro Kasahara, who is known for his original Japanese cuisine. You can enjoy menus made with delicious Mie ingredients such as Ise red sea bream and Kuwana clams.

Next, I will introduce "Yu".
Kataoka Onsen is 100% fed directly from the source! Enjoy luxurious hot water without heating, water addition, or circulation. A beauty bath that will make your skin smooth with its simple alkaline hot springs.

Relaxation facilities ``Hogushi Teya'' and ``Sora Sora'' are located in the hot spring building.
The information signboard is also stylish. After relaxing in the hot springs, it's a good idea to relax here!

There is also a spacious tatami room.
There are many large fluffy cushions, so you can relax wherever you like. The sight of people sitting, lying down, napping, and doing whatever they want will further enhance the relaxing feeling.

The cutout-style decorations that can be seen throughout the hot spring building are very cute.
Is it a child riding on a cloud? Is it Frog's headgear? The playful design pieces blend well into modern spaces.
Everything on the premises has been created by numerous designers and creators. There are visually appealing information boards installed everywhere, but the text written on them is minimal. By indicating it with a logo or mark, they ensure that the beautiful sense is not compromised.

Lastly, let's talk about ``night''.
In fact, you can even stay overnight at Aquaignis!
The passageway leading to the accommodation building has a warm wooden feel. The dark wood grain and calming colors will make you feel calm. There are 17 rooms with an area of 8 tatami mats in the back.

Beyond the clear grove of trees, there are a total of four detached inns.
The cedar, pine, chestnut, and cypress buildings are made with naturally dried domestic wood that matches the theme of each building. ``Cedar'' has unique furniture, ``Matsu'' is a highlight of the fusion of Japanese modern and pop style, ``Chestnut'' allows you to enjoy a natural space, and ``Hinoki'' allows you to relax in a private cypress bath.
The detached lodgings are very popular and are booked up quickly. It is best to reserve the room you are interested in early. The photo is of the "chestnut" room.

TSUJIGUCHI FARM is a large greenhouse that stands out from the view from the road.
Apparently, the soil used for cultivation is heated using hot spring heat. Kataoka Onsen not only heals the fatigue of visitors, but also grows sweet fruits!
The fruit grown here is also provided to the on-site restaurant and used as ingredients for delicious dishes. As many as 20,000 strawberries are cultivated in the winter, and customers can also pick strawberries during the harvest season. Also, it is said that around 500 melons were harvested in the summer!

The spacious, open grounds are not too large than they appear, so you can enjoy the area without getting tired of walking.
You can stay in a detached inn and soak in the hot springs as many times as you like, relaxing and enjoying the food, or you can take a day trip and enjoy lunch and hot water. You can enjoy Aquaignis in a variety of ways depending on the number of people and the time.
On days when the weather is nice, we recommend eating the aromatic freshly baked bread on the terrace with a beautiful view. Would you like to relax and unwind in a sophisticated and extraordinary space surrounded by nature?

*Chef Tsujiguchi's ``Tsuji'' is correctly written as ``Ichiten Shinnyo''.
