What is Hokusei Central Park?

This prefectural park is located in a hilly area that straddles YokkaichiCity, InabeCity, and KomonoTown, and is large enough to accommodate 60 soccer fields.
The park is widely open to the citizens of the prefecture as a place for recreation and sports.

 

A park rich in nature

The park has a multipurpose plaza and lawn area that can be enjoyed by both adults and children. Each square also has play equipment for small children. Furthermore, from each square, you can see the Suzuka Mountains, including Mt. Fujiwara and Gozaisho. There are also areas rich in nature where you can enjoy forest bathing, such as the Sawanomori area and the nature exploration area.

Full of sports facilities

The park has 12 tennis courts with lighting equipment and one baseball field. Both are surrounded by greenery, and you can enjoy playing while listening to the chirping of warblers and other animals.

There are a lot of parking spaces for about 140 cars. All parking lots are spacious and can comfortably accommodate large vehicles such as wagons. If you are traveling by large bus for excursions, you can use the west parking lot.

There is also a parking space designated for people with disabilities, so anyone can enjoy the park without hesitation.

There are many ways to play depending on your purpose.

You can enjoy various ways of playing in the park.

In the park, you can have fun in a way that suits your purpose, such as small children playing on the playground equipment, parents and children fishing together, and friends pitching a tent and relaxing at a day camp.
Additionally, the management office lends out play equipment such as dodgeball, badminton, hula hoops, and Frisbees.

However, when you bring a tent and enjoy day camping, you need to be careful of the following.

Along the banks of the large pond, where you can jog around, there are sidewalks that you can enjoy walking. It feels great on a windy day♪

A park where you can take a leisurely walk

A beautiful river flows between the sports facility area and the recreation area, and you can hear the sounds of warblers and other mountain birds.

The park is designed for leisurely walking. There are several promenades within the square, making it very easy to walk. There are also courses where you can enjoy views of trees that are so big you won't believe your eyes.

If you feel tired, sit on a chair in the shade of a tree and take a rest.

You can also enjoy playing soccer on the lawn square!

If you make a reservation in advance, you can enjoy playing soccer on the grass field♪

 

Convenient rest spot

If you're tired from playing or want to take a break after walking or jogging, take a break in the covered rest area. It is very convenient as it is located in each area. Restrooms are also located in each area. There are also vending machines near rest areas and restrooms, so you can stay hydrated.

There is also a tall clock tower on the lawn square. It's easy to see even from a distance, so you can enjoy it without forgetting the time.

 

Access information

The management office is located in the area where the tennis courts and baseball field are located. In fact, the sign at the entrance is small, so it's easy to miss it, but when you see the baseball stadium lights on your right and the tennis courts on your left, the office will be in the building immediately to your left.

If you go by train, it will take about 30 minutes on foot from the nearest station, but there are supermarkets and convenience stores (Family Mart) along the way, making it convenient to buy drinks and snacks.

In fact, unusual for a prefectural park, Hokusei Chuo Park allows dogs to enjoy the park as well. Dogs must be kept on leashes, but many people come by car to take their dogs for walks in the morning and evening.
