Ahhh Summer in Japan! at Jyonohama Swimming Beach & Pool

I’ve been having this love and hate relationship with summer in Japan for the past 23 years.
As the whole world knows, Japan is an island with the Sea of Japan to one side, and the North Pacific Ocean to the other, however, just like I had no clue how hot summer in Japan was, many foreigners probably don’t know either!
The high humidity makes the heat scorching, sometimes making it even unbearable to stay outdoors for too long.

Fortunately, there’s a bright side that makes summer in Japan a season to be loved and enjoyed! During summer, we have so many festivals all over Japan.
This is the season people wear yukata (it’s like a summer version of kimono) and go to a firework festival. We can drink beverages and eat food prepared only during this season! We can have barbecues by the river, and of course, go to the beach! And Mie is blessed to have so many beautiful beaches, and one of them was our today’s destination.

Flyboard looks so cool! Jon did really well. Mr. Kato was in charge of controlling the pressure on Jon’s boots and to guiding Jon regarding the movements. Everyone was impressed by Jon’s ability to dive and his balance to keep himself upright.

And we finished our water adventure by doing a more relaxing activity, SUP and kayaking.

The coolest thing about these boards is that they are transparent! You can see everything under your feet while paddling.

For those who have never paddled before, this transparent SUP board is rigid so it makes the person paddling feel safe. SUP and kayaking are perfect for those who want to relax and admire the beauty of the sea without too much adrenaline!

And against our will, our water adventure day had come to an end!
Before we headed home, we recharged our energy at the center’s cafe, On The Beach cafe.
This cafe is accessible to everyone, and it has a great staff and a comfortable atmosphere.

You can also try the food and drinks from the food truck, Akkanbe, as well. The staff there is also great and super funny! And as you can see in the picture, Jon instantly became friends with them!

I’m grateful for being giving this opportunity to enjoy a day at the beach in a completely different way that I’ve been enjoying so far.

I’m especially grateful to have experienced it with my husband and my friend because these are the type of activities that you will enjoy it much more with the people you love, your family and friends. So if you have the chance to do it, I highly recommend you to do! Dani and I are planning to bring our children and watch them have as much fun as we did!

Marine Resort Kingdom will stay in Jonohama beach until the end of this month, and from September, only through reservation!
