Countryside restaurant “Sushiku” on Iseji
This is a restaurant where you can enjoy country cuisine unique to this region. The building is a cultural asset of Ise, made from old wood from the UjibashiBridge bestowed by IseJingu, and the signboard next to the stairs is a remnant of the restaurant's past as a ryokan that once served as lodging for imperial envoys. On the first day of every month, breakfast porridge made with seasonal ingredients is prepared from 4:45 a.m., and on the last day of the month, a rakugo performance called "Misoka Yose" is held in the tatami room on the second floor.
